John Carl Zierke is a freelance Kitchen and Bath Designer, with over a decade of design experience.

A graduate of the South Dakota State University (SDSU) design program in 2011, John Carl has been serving clients with his specialized skills in kitchen and bath design since 2013. 

Most recently you would have found John Carl working in the Sioux Falls Lowes Showroom as the primary Kitchen and Bath designer between the years 2018-2025

Design services can be engaged in a couple of different ways depending on the type of project and your location.
The first step is to schedule a call or send an Email to determine if we are the correct fit for your project.

With a kitchen project, you will be working with John through several phases of the project. Some projects will go quickly and you will only need John's attention for 3 months, while others may require 9-12 months from start to finish. 

John offers a range of services to help you create a space that's not only beautiful but also functional and uniquely yours.
A Design Deposit will provide you with an Initial Design Packet that Includes architectural drawings, 3D renderings, and product selections, along with one round of revisions.  An hourly fee is assessed for additional revisions and paperwork

For additional Services beyond the design, John Carl Zierke can assist his clients as a Project Manager by taking on the tasks of purchasing product, tracking orders, inspecting product, reporting damage to vendors, reordering damaged product, and working with contractors/subcontractors on scheduling needs.

> John was very  knowledgeable in the  design and style of cabinetry. He was also patient with us as we got a  quote and design from him early on in or project. Then after searching many other sources locally and on-line we returned to him and Cliq Studios. He found problems with our design, from our contractor, that would have caused us trouble and dollars during the installation. He also had exceptional skills  when it came to using our limited space in the kitchen. He kept his cool even when we didn't. We were very satisfied with all aspects of his work.

> We worked with John on our kitchen remodel.  John was great at listening to all our "wants" or must haves, he suggested things we didn't think about (even saving us money in some areas), and he was always professional. John was patient with us as we made changes with the plans and I loved the 3D drawings. We love the cabinets and though we had a few cabinets/doors that didn't have the quality that we expected and have on all the other cabinets, John was helpful when customer service dropped the ball. > I worked with John on a master bathroom project at my new home.

> When we moved here, the bathroom cabinets were the standard depth (21") in a narrow, long bathroom. I'm disabled and must use a walker, and while I could walk into the bathroom, the cabinets took up so much space that I couldn't turn around. I had to back out of the room.

> I decided to pull out the cabinets and replace them with cabinets that were 16 inches deep (base) and 10 inches deep (uppers). I also wanted display space in two of the cabinets.

> John walked me carefully through the process and made a couple of suggestions that really improved the design. Without his input, the cabinets would have worked, but not quite as well. As it is, I have 100% happiness with my order. I ended up with a single base cabinet with two doors (and lower roll out tray) and one drawer that runs completely across the top. This gained me an inch or so of space instead of using two single cabinets. On the uppers, the display cabinet is a single cabinet without a door. Works perfect. John's input here was so helpful.
