**★★★★★ — rillito, Aug. 2013**

> Design and construction consultation on a commercial building renovation. Thomas demonstrated outstanding design ideas taking the overall project budget and proposed building use into careful consideration. His years of experience also provided invaluable guidance through to the completion of the project in December 2012. Excellent.

**★★★★★ — Mark Flom, Aug. 2013**

> I have worked professionally with Tom and known him personally for over 30 years. He is a consummate professional, exceptional designer and hands-on architect. He will give your project the attention and care it needs, and bring to the process a unique combination of artistic nuance, technical accuracy, and old-fashioned TLC. As a fellow architect, I know the difficulty involved in trying to attain the competing goals of cost effective solutions and unique, inspiring designs that push the boundaries of the conventional and pedestrian. For many firms, this is a bridge too far---for Thomas Bateman Hood Architecture, it's called "Tuesday"!

> I have known and worked with Thomas Hood for over 30 years and have always found him to be one of the most talented and dedicated architects I have worked with. His combination of design skills and construction knowledge give him the ability to produce high quality designs that can be built cost effectively that produce high performance, durable buildings that are a pleasure to look at and live in.

**★★★★★ — Cynthia Pillsbury, July 2013**

> Thomas Hood is an incredible architect who delivers great design using impeccable service. He is a true professional who listens to his clients' needs and hopes for a new space. Tom worked with the man who built our house and designed our house which we eventually bought. When we needed to add a bedroom/bathroom in a very tight space and working with very particular city requirements we knew the original builder (Richard Hochschild) and architect, Thomas Hood would be the right team-- I know refer to them as the dream team because they work so well together and navigated a very tricky space and worked so well with the Town of Larkspur. The whole process has been efficient and enjoyable.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Do you have any pictures of the front and side of the house?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: There is a front elevation of the house on our website: thomasbatemanhood.com, or on pinterest. The photo shown is the side of the house. Sorry, we do not have photos of the rear (east) or south side, as extensive redwood tree coverage made these shots very difficult. Feel free to contact us wth any other questions or if you need assistance with your home. We have floor plans and elevations available.

Best, Thomas Hood, Architect

**Q: What White for trim?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I'm painting my house Kendall Charcoal, can you tell me what White you use for trim?

A: The house shown was painted with Ben Moore "white" - I do not have record of exact color, sorry. I can say it had no yellow tint - almost bright white, if that helps.

**Q: Paint Color** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi could someone please share the paint color?

A: This color has struck a chord with so many people! The body color is Benjamin Moore Crodovan Brown stain. It often appears as black, but changes with the light.

**Q: Siding** *(in Photo Questions)*

Siding color?

A: Siding color used was Benjamin Moore "Cordovan Brown" water based stain on seasoned Western Red Shingles. Heavy brush application. Intent was to make it appear "boac". In fact it varies from Charcoal to brown or gray depending on the weather, season, and sun/shade side of the house.

**Q: what is the color of the shingles used on this house?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The product used: Benjamin Moore, solid body stain; color: Cordovan Brown

**Q: Love this look. Trim color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Do you happen to know the name of the trim color? Thank you!

A: I'm sorry, but I do not recall the color name for the trim. It was a Benjamin Moore product.
It was almost a bright white.
