> I have used Dakota Unlimited for both of my backyard fences. In 2001 Dakota fenced in our backyard in South Minneapolis. Their service, timeliness, quality and craftsmanship were impeccable. So when we moved in 2015 to nearby western suburb I hired them to build another cedar fence for our new yard. If I ever need a another fence I would use Dakota Unlimited a third time. They have great service, quality and craftsmanship.

**Q: How are the rails attached to the posts? Thanks.** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for inquiring about our photo and to answer your question, we use a method called toenailing to attach the 2 x 4 rails to the post. The horizontals that you see in this photo are the 1 x 4 trim on the outside of the fence and they are nailed through the vertical fence boards and into the support rail behind it. The 1 x 4's are purely aesthetic to give them impression the fence looks the same on both sides. Thanks again!

I look the look of this fence. How tall is the fence and can you tell me how tall the lattice is?  The proportions really look good.

A: Thanks for liking our fence!  The total fence height is 6'.  The lattice grids are cut to 16", 13" is visible the rest is trimmed out.

A: Sorry for the delay on answering your question, we missed the notification.  The lattice spacing on this fence is 1".  Typically the lattice we make has an opening of 2 1/4" with 1 3/4" wide lathe.  This fence is a custom lattice and we used 1" lathe with a 1" opening.
