The door arrived with multiple manufacturing mistakes, and instead of taking responsibility and resolving the issues efficiently, ProVia was extremely difficult to work with. Their regional representative was no help at all. After spending countless hours trying to get the problems corrected, they finally sent a replacement door. > > Now, just three years later, the trim is falling off that replacement door. Considering how outrageously expensive this door was, this level of quality is unacceptable. I might expect something like this from a budget big-box store, but not from a company that markets itself as a premium manufacturer. > > Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ProVia. The combination of poor quality, manufacturing errors, and disappointing customer service has made this one of the worst home improvement purchases I've made. **★ — lisakehrt1, July 2026** > I had my door installed 1st week of May 2026. Provia chose to not respond or follow with repair concerns. So I sent an email to JUSTIN EMERICK on 6/1/26 and got no response. After a very long wait 2 months) I called on myself to speak with JUSTIN. He told me that the account manager told him my needs were not urgent so that was the delay???? I told JUSTIN I emailed him and he had no reason not to respond! Then a few days later JUSTIN tells me “oops the z-end bases were removed when being made” and not put back on” JUSTIN Then proceeds to tell me they can installed post manufacturing! Well they can’t be post installed they are placed on with Endura sill/threshhold before z-end and would have to take off my door jambs and casing to entire door and sidelights! I said no that’s proper and causes structural integrity problems to worsen. JUSTIN Then proceeds to tell me that means I’m refusing my door to be repaired??? So here’s my problem list: 1st, My door left the production line without Z-end bases: they provide structural integrity strength and prevent water intrusion. 2nd problem, composite substrate under threshold deck end is missing. 3rd problem, threshold horns are absent and there is a total of 4” missing from threshold and it does not meet door frame and it’s open for bugs. 4th the door lock is broke and it does not require disengagement if it’s bumped it unlocks. 5th sent me walnut color strips for an oakish color door. So here it is July 10th (2 months later and nothing has been done). The account manager TODD came out and told me that z-end bases and composite substrate are not made with the Endura Zac. I asked him to look at the opening they are gone! TODD told me he didn’t need to bend down and look because they are not made with Zac. **★ — HU-904015850, Jan. 2025** > If I could rate them -5, I would. DO NOT BUY their products!!! There is NO recourse with problems AT ALL. They push off manufacturing and production problems that are derived from them on the distributors and installers and refuse to talk to anyone about quality concerns. When I did reach them, they told me that the customers comfort is not their concern. They literally told me that when they sent an entirely wrong door to my house (size, different customer,etc.) We had a big piece of wood on the back door covering the hole and a dysfunctional nonworking door in the front. We were doing an outside project that was time-sensitive with bricks and had to walk a very inconvenient, unlevel way to do our project. When I told them that, they were unconcerned and told me at least I have a door. Wow! At the bare minimum, I expected a DOOR since it was already paid for! Words cannot express my feelings about this company, management, and "procedures." **★ — pendarvisr, Sept. 2023** > ProVia does not provide information to the final customer. ProVia considers their customer to be the vendor and not the homeowner that has actually purchased their product. I spoke to several people at ProVia and they all refuse to give me the company's guidance for installing my door. The ProVia customer service people told me that they do not deal with the homeowner. > > In addition to poor customer service, their door is very poor quality for the price I paid for this sliding glass door ---$14,500. > > A warning to all consumers: be aware that the thresholds on ProVia sliding glass patio doors are about 2.5 inches above the floor---and 6 inches wide. This is a stumbling hazard. > > Lastly, a WARNING to all consumers: ProVia will not provide any service to you. They will refuse to talk to you and they will tell you to talk to the vendor who installed their door. > > Summary: I would never recommend ProVia to anyone! **★ — shaun gski, Aug. 2023** > The doors are low quality, edging sides are not painted or detailed, mismatched trim pieces and styles, colors fade and chip rapidly, within 3 months and the colors of parts do not match. Lead time is very long. > > The vinyl board and batten max (insulated) siding is very poor. Poor material, but does hold color. Be aware, the bottom trim is a channel. Two things occur. First, it fills with dead bugs and water which yellows with the bugs. Second, the channels overflow. If you have block foundation this water flows inside your foundation and leaks into and through your block. ProVia is not interested in any corrective action for these two issues. > > All of these materials are prime retail priced so very expensive. I would not use their doors or siding again. Our windows and doors were finally shipped and installation began at the end of March 2023, only to find out that one of doors was NOT the correct size and 7 of our windows were NOT the correct pattern. Provia was contacted by our contractor, who told them about the errors with the order. He was told it would be a few weeks to manufacture replacement windows and a door. It is now July 3, 2023 and we have spent over $91,000 on what were supposed to “high quality windows and doors”, only to still not have them almost a year and a half later. I STRONGLY recommend you look elsewhere for your home improvements. Provia is NOT reliable and is probably going to cost us more money in the long run in court costs. **★ — Jan Miller, April 2023** > I ordered three custom entry door through my Provia vendor. When the doors were delivered in October 2022, the aluminum jamb wrap was not the correct size. I contacted my vendor and was advised to install the doors and see if they will work. I already knew they would not fit so after installing the doors, I again contacted my vendor and they contacted Provia. Provia requested photos, which I took and sent to my vendor. The vendor contacted Provia and after about 5 weeks Provia provided replacement aluminum. The replacement aluminum was no different from the original aluminum. I again took photos of the oversize aluminum and photos showing the dimension of the jambs and brick mould. I again forwarded the photos to my vendor. After another 5-6 weeks, Provia sent replacement aluminum pcs. As before, the replacement pcs were not even close to what was required. I again sent photos with dimensions to my vendor to forward to Provia. Again, after about 5-6 weeks Provia sent replacement aluminum. Again for the fourth time they sent the wrong material. I contacted my vendor and they contacted Provia. Provia replied with the statement that they were no longer going to replace the aluminum. I asked my vendor to see if they would send me replacement brick moulding (6pcs) and flat rolled aluminum and I would swap out the brick mould and bend the aluminum to fit myself. Well weeks later Provia sent one box of coils stock, two pcs of brick mould and pre-formed brick mould wrap, which I did not need. I now have 14 boxes of unusable arts for these three doors. At this point, I contacted Provia directly and after a heated discussion, they agreed to send the brick mould. I finally received the brick mould and when I went to install it, it was the wrong size. On another note, the thresholds for the custom doors are not the correct size so that the weather seal on the bottom of the new storm doors will not work. **★ — Joe Bon, Sept. 2022** > I purchased 3 entry doors and 2 storm doors and hardware. The screen came apart on one storm 2 months later, while the door itself drags on the bottom. One of their locks has not worked right from the start. > Customer service referred me back to one of their rated installers that I used, which is now regrettable. IT’S PURPLE WITH HUGE RED SPRAY CAN BLOBS IN THE CENTER OF SOME! Once the stone came in (early 2021), we were told the color had to cure for atleast 9 months. We were in a time crunch and had to have something installed so we used the stones anyway. It’s now been a year and a very nice rep went to look at the stone on the house. He stated that it is truly the color it is suppose to be.
