> When designing our new event room, we decided to go with the granary oak for a lighter, redder finish due to the other colors in the room. Mountain Lumber sent us the samples very quickly and after some going back and forth, we settled on the tone that we wanted. In the process of time however MLC delayed the order four times which caused a lot of frusturation and grief, and finally offered to bring the flooring to us for free due to the delays, which I appreciated.
> When the flooring arrived, the crew that delivered it was a smoking, sloppy-looking, dumpy crew, and not professional at all, but I could deal with that as long as the product was what I wanted. I was horrified. Instead of the beautiful, reddish-black tones all throughout, most of it was gray and ugly, with only very few of the pieces being what we had ordered. With it being a fair-sized order, we went ahead and put it in anyway, hoping that the overall tone would be different than the few pieces we analyzed. The floor is so dark it almost looks like it could be a laminate, which ruins the overall color of the room. For such a large investment, we are very disappointed in our choice of lumber company, and would not recommend them at all.

> We have worked with Debra Kirschnick on several projects and could not have been more pleased. She's knowledgeable, has been a pleasure to work with and always goes above and beyond when it comes to making our clients happy. When it comes to product, we and our clients have been impressed with the variety, finish options and quality of the flooring and finished lumber products from Mountain Lumber. We highly recommend them.

> My husband and I judge a company by how they handle inevitable glitches as much by I whether there are any glitches at all. Mountain lumber company handled A delivery screw up promptly and professionally, and went way beyond expectations to make sure we had the lumber that we needed for our flooring as soon as humanly possible . We were absolutely knocked out by the extraordinary level of customer service. I would recommend this company not just for their beautiful product but for their Grace under pressure -- kudos to all, but especially to Debra and Kim.

**Comment from Mountain Lumber Company:**

> Not every step of the process always goes smoothly, but once an issue arises as a company you have to "step up". We resolved the issue and made our clients happy and that is what matters to us on a daily basis! Thanks for kind words.

> We had the opportunity to work with Mountain Lumber Co for a log cabin project where we wanted great quality reclaimed wood flooring. We looked at several "larger" companies and after interacting with the team at Mountain Lumber, Seeing the quality craftsmanship, and the dedication from our representative, we knew they were the right choice. They delivered exactly as promised and the floors are the showpiece for the cabin. Incredibly easy process and the team was there for any and every question we had along the way. I would recommended Mountain Lumber Co to anyone looking for distinct, quality reclaimed products and trust that they always have the customers best interest at hand.

**Comment from Mountain Lumber Company:**

> Mountain Lumber Companies rustic oaks are a big hit! They look great in a cabin, but have other applications as well. We are happy that we exceeded your expectations!

> I needed to tie into an existing antiqued white oak floor that had been reclaimed from a castle in Europe. So I started with my floor sub, and he was unable to find anything. So I took to the internet and came upon Mountain Lumber Company and Michelle. I sent her a couple of pictures of the existing floor, and she in return sent me some custom samples of European Cut Livesawn White Oak with a Chiseled Edge. They nailed it on the first try! The wood went in beautifully, and it blends in perfectly. My clients are thrilled with it! Mountain Lumber Company’s customer service, product and execution I give 110%, and I look forward to working with them and Michelle again on future projects.

> Dedicated, prompt, friendly, committed, flexible, helpful....I could go on and on about my experience with the Mountain Lumber Company. We were in a time crunch with our new home build and sales associate Debra came to the rescue. I had taken one look at their beautiful website and immediately contacted this company. Within 24 hours I knew I had a wooden floor I was going to absolutely love. Debra is a gem to work with. The wood floor arrived promptly on schedule and is stunning. I would recommend Mountain Lumber Company to anyone looking to go above and beyond for an extra special floor. I can not wait to live with this beautiful floor and hear the compliments.

**Comment from Mountain Lumber Company:**

> Our goal is for all of our clients to be this happy! I am confident the compliments will be many. Thanks for entrusting Mountain Lumber Company with your home.

> After researching hardwood companies for over 3 years and after obtaining samples from all I made the decision to go with Mountain Lumber. This was not only based on the quality and beauty of their wood but because of the customer service and attention to detail from Deborah Russell. She was the most knowledgeable representative I had ever dealt with and took the time to understand my project and exactly what I wanted. I am a perfectionist with a high level of expectation and I was completely satisfied with my project from start to finish.

**Comment from Mountain Lumber Company:**

> Mountain Lumber Company takes immense pride in delivering a quality, custom product. We believe our product is really important, but customer service is actually more important! Thanks for the accolades!

**★★★★★ — brucewilsie, March 2015**

> Debra Russell was great to work with. She was responsive and helpful in our decision as to which floor to choose. Delivery was on schedule. We made a few changes and they were very accomodating. The floors are now installed and absolutely beautiful.

**Comment from Mountain Lumber Company:**

> Thanks for the kind words. Mountain Lumber Company realizes that flooring is one of, or arguably, the most important interior decision that a home owner will make. After all, you use your floor everyday! We endeavor to provide a "customized" floor that you do not see everywhere else and will enjoy for a life time.

**★★★★★ — Laura Frerer- Schmidt, March 2015**

> I love my new floor from Mountain Lumber. The product is excellent and the service is the best I've had during the entire process of building our home. I wish all of our vendors were as professional. Five stars.

**Comment from Mountain Lumber Company:**

> Mountain Lumber Company strives not only to provide a beautiful product, but to provide the best customer service you have ever experienced. We pride ourselves on taking what can be a stressful time and making our part of it easy. We understand that there are a lot of "moving parts" in the construction process and our goal is to make your experience with us simple. Thanks for the wonderful compliments.

**★★★★★ — Dave, March 2015**

> We set out to reconstruct a 150 year old cabin and tie in with and addition on the back, stick built.
> We were originally just looking for some nice old beams to have that post and beam look and we got hooked up with Debra Russell at Mountain Lumber. Totally changed our addition part of the build but Debra made some suggestions as to the build and we ended up going with a post and beam construction tying in with the log cabin. Words really can not describe how much Debra helped us with all the finishing touch's. Floors, beams ceilings and stair treads all from reclaimed super cool beautiful wood.
> She even made a site visit to the very remote location to check on sizes etc.
> If you are considering any type of reconstruction or restoring she is a must add to your contact list.

**Comment from Mountain Lumber Company:**

> Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment. We try really hard to make all of our clients happy. Our goal is for you to be ecstatic with all of our products and service!
> We are so glad that your vision for your cabin turned out beautiful.

> I purchased old oak beams and corbels from Mountain Lumber Co. for a basement renovation project in an 1890 Washington, DC townhouse. Our renovation is now complete, and the beams and corbels are just perfect in creating the décor we were striving for. Everybody who sees them compliments them. I received excellent advice from the company on how to prepare the beams (wire brushed), and they did a superb job of milling the matching corbels to the pattern I submitted. They also did a very nice job of routing the edges of the beams and corbels to give them the decorative touch we desired. Their mill shop did make one error -- they cut the curve of the corbels along the incorrect face of the stock from which the beams were made. Since the faces of the beams aren’t of equal dimensions – their widths differ by about an inch -- the corbels turned out to be wider than the beams. We didn’t notice this until my contractor got ready to attach the corbels, which was a number of months after delivery of the finished products. I contacted Mountain Lumber Co. about the mistake, and without hesitation they devised a way to re-mill the corbels to solve the problem. They paid for the shipping cost of returning the corbels for modification, and they made the correction quickly. I couldn't have been more satisfied with them in all my dealings.

**Comment from Mountain Lumber Company:**

> Mountain Lumber, on occasion, makes a mistake. When we do make a mistake we rectify the situation promptly and in a manner that best suits our client. We feel like "taking ownership" is an important aspect of providing customer service. In the end, our clients complete satisfaction is paramount to their happiness and our long term success. Happy client equals successful company.

**★★★★★ — John Reed, Dec. 2014**

> I have worked with Mountain Lumber Co. and Ms. Russell on 2 separate occasions both both times I've been very happy with them. Very professional and upfront with me and helped in every way to make the job go smoothly. They've been able to come up with the product when I need it for what I needed and most helpful in giving me suggestions, so I was able to do the job right the 1st. time.I'd highly recommend Ms. Russell she is outstanding and most professional. If you have any questions whatsoever on any other products she's very knowledgeable and be happy to help you in any way. John F. Reed

**Comment from Mountain Lumber Company:**

> Mountain Lumber Company thoroughly enjoys working with clients on "custom" projects. We are always happy to help make your vision come true!
