Molding was missing and there were holes in the top where the backsplash was along with gouges. Re-stained the cavity and used American Paint Company paint along with some paper. I thought the polka dots make it whimsical The back is now the front with just over 19 square feet of Silestone on the top with an inch over hang on three sides with a foot on the front for stools.Close up of the door and drawer Close up of the side. A: Looks great! **Q: Our new Beach House!** *(in Before & After)* We found a wonderful gem this spring on Hood Canal (Puget Sound) in the Pacific Northwest. We are updating the entire space to bring a warmer feel to the home. The 80s abounded throughout but we saw past that and fell in love with the large picture windows, spacious rooms and open concept. We've completely gutted the kitchen, took out an old pellet stove and replaced with a gas unit, replaced funky gray parquet floors with beachy hardwoods and new paint throughout and now installing T&G hemlock ceilings. New lighting throughout (will post in more detail once complete. Pleased with our progress so far! Phase 2 will be gutting bathrooms! A little more grouting to do in the new kitchen. Big change is the stove on the back wall to free up the peninsula. Need to find some fun stools now. Old pellet stove replaced with a gas fireplace and new stone. Overlayed right over the brick. Before we painted and started installing the T&G ceilings. all of the mill work will be replaced and white. Starting to take on a warm look with the new wood surfaces A: Beautiful space! **Q: kitchen makeover. How did I do?** *(in Before & After)* chalk painted cabinets. new floor, granite counters, new appliances and lighting. A: Wow! Awesome job! **Q: Our Daughters's Bathroom** *(in Before & After)* When we purchased our home, we knew we had many renovations in front of us but this project was first on our list. The shower was abysmally small and the entry to it was difficult to navigate. The fixtures were dated and the overall space was very dark. We were shocked by how much larger the space seemed just by changing the entry and merging the tub and shower into one wet space. The entire what space is lined with a shower pan and sloped to a center drain. The tub is set on the finished floor. The Kohler escutcheon styled spigot flows into the tub and any water that misses the tub simply drains to the center drain. We reoriented the shower head to an overhead rain head.
