Our designer was wonderful and helped us figure out what we wanted and needed inside the budget we had. The project was worked on by really nice and professional craftsmen that we felt very comfortable having in our home, and the work was completed on Budget and ahead of schedule. Amos Lapp, the owner, was very knowledgeable, professional, and patient in determining what we wanted done, offering suggestions which were helpful in the design process, and later in making selections of the materials used, and choices that would fit our budget. He was active during the entire renovation, from start to finish, checking by phone and in person. The job was done by David, an employee, who did almost all of the work on his own, with some help by a second employee on a few days. He did an excellent job, doing all plumbing,electrical,flooring, fixtures, vanity, and tub installation, and tile work (a true artist!). He kept the site clean - we had no dust/dirt problems at all. He also kept us informed of what time he would be arriving each day, what work he would be doing, and answered any questions that we had. The job was completed on time (actually a day or two early). The owner stopped in to inspect and made sure that the job was done to our satisfaction. We are very pleased with the final product! It has exceeded our expectations! I downsized from a larger single family home to a smaller townhouse, but I still wanted to have a larger kitchen with a big island. My goal was to maximize my work space and give friends and family plenty of room to gather. Although I didn't know what I wanted the finished project to look like, I knew what I wanted it to feel like. The words "Quiet Grace" were on the cover of my planning folder, and I wanted to incorporate a warm inviting feel to the space in addition to having a layout that optimized the functionality, Josh did an excellent job as kitchen designer helping to achieve everything that was important to me. > To accommodate the larger kitchen, we moved and elongated an internal wall. In doing so, the whole main floor was essentially redesigned. Now, upon entering the house the new flooring greets you in the updated foyer and forms a path to guide you to the back of the home. Once you enter the kitchen area, the rest of the design elements speak for themselves (see the pictures) and to me they come together for the warm and inviting feel I hoped for. Some details worth mentioning... the double sided fireplace was updated with granite to match the island and they constructed a mantle on each side from rough cut lumber. To me, it's a one of a kind masterpiece of quality carpentry. They checked everything off my wish list including a range hood that vents outside. The whole main floor got a fresh coat of paint and the old kitchen cabinets were hung in the laundry room. > The renovation began exactly when it was scheduled to. During the construction, I was very impressed with the quality of workmanship and the attention to detail. There were a few issues that came up during the job, but I was consulted on each one and each time I was very satisfied with the resolution. > I have nothing but great things to say about the planning, the workmanship and the final look and functionality of my new kitchen.
