After reviewing more than 5 bids, we contracted with JD Tile on both price and recommendation from colleagues. Jon was very respectful and great in the design. He found and fixed a number of issues from the original construction 10 years prior with the previous owner (slop, drainage, waterproofing). Jon did things right and gave us a great design. He is a trained Schluter System installer which gave us assurances of sealed shower. Total cost was under $8500 with materials (4x5x9 enclosure) as compared to the $10-13k bids that I got without materials. **Comment from JD Tile:** > I appreciate the opportunity to help my customer get the shower he and his wife deserved! As he mentioned they had some issues with the original shower as water was getting through into the basement and the drain was 90% clogged with grout from the original installation. The customer picked out the tile and the granite to add the JD Tile trademark accessories(seat, curb, and niche shelves) with a designer drain. It's fun to see the customers get excited as it all comes together. Very grateful to the customers as well for being patient as tile is very tedious and because it is often done in a rush, failures occur and JD Tile will not take that approach. Doing it right and in a timely fashion working with the customer the whole time is the JD Tile way. To create a masterpiece for the customer! The passion to do tile is there as much as it was the day I started doing as a hobby in the area where the customer was stationed as well.
