> I've been performing wiring installations for about 50 years, but am not an electrician and  recently purchased the LUTRON Maestro MS-OPS2 motion sensor based on the recommendations of the vendor at an electrical supply distributor. Following the purchase, but prior to installation I read the packaging, and was directed to LUTRON's installation guides, where-upon I discovered that perhaps this switch would not meet my needs in that my application did not appear to meet the criteria for installation as specified in the guide. However, the vendor was reasonably assured it would do the job, while I remained skeptical. I then called the LUTRON (24-7) help line, where, after what sounded like a few minutes of research, the agent too agreed that this particular sensor would do the job. I still did not feel right about their replies when, just before starting the work, it hit me: "Let's see what Grok has to say!".

>     "No, it is not permitted per the manufacturer’s explicit stipulations and installation instructions for the LUTRON Maestro MS-OPS2. .... Electrically it would probably turn the lights on/off, but installing it this way violates the manufacturer’s instructions."

> So my comment to LUTRON: "Thank you for providing what appears to me to be a fairly clear set of instruction pertaining to the use of this product. However it also appears to me that, after reading the instructions, I was sufficiently confused enough to ask for help, and that wholesale/retail vendors and advisors at your help desk are also not clear about how this product is to be used.
