> We bought a new home from Landmarc Custom Homes, and after 4 months of contacting site managers, sub-contractors and even a co-owner himself, our agreed upon punch list items and formal inspection report items had yet to be repaired or replaced.  I even flew (we moved over 1800 miles) to inspect the home one (1) month prior to closing escrow to do a formal walk-thru and punch list - repairs were agreed to in writing.

> Once we arrived and had access to the home, we learned one day prior to taking possession that none of the agreed upon items had been repaired or replaced.  The owner of the company only tells me to "call each of the sub-contractors individually and they will take care of it."

> Once those issues were escalated, the items were repaired to my satisfaction - even the builder himself said the work was 'sloppy' and apologized for the inconvenience.

> Chris from Landmarc built my home,He was so respectful and courteous even when we might have disagreed on an issue.  He and those working for him are available although very busy, never hurried and listen to your question with explanations that are understandable.  My home is 3000 sq ft 2 level. Some things I wanted changed during the building process, patiently was changed.  Ideas were mentioned to me that would never entered my mind, Brought new trends to my attention, new features.  Basically making me aware of what was out there to see and maybe grab for my new home.  A price was quoted for building my house at the onset and when finished the amount was exactly the same. I highly, highly recommend this company.  I have never been so happy with a house that quickly turned into a home.  The home inspector we hired had never dealt with this company.  After dealing with him on our home, he told us how impressed he was with their work. that in itself is a big PLUS.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Need help with Color for Retaining Wall Please?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We have had fossil beige pavers install on our patio.  We are adding a low retaining wall.  Thinking of using Heritage Block; it's designed on both sides.  Can anyone make suggestions as to what may go well with Fossil Beige, the Patio Color
Tennessee natural Stone for walkway up to "Party Patio" with fire pit.

A: Unless there is a lot of red in the Tennessee Natural Stone (cant tell if that's just red dirt or a tint of red) I would go with the Rocky Mountain or Smokey Mountain. As a preference towards the grey & browns rather than red. Look at beige paver pallets with a varying tone like an antique buff.
