He used quality materials and the design choices were excellent. The problem is that the workmanship, in the kitchen and other rooms was poorly executed. We purchased the unit 6 months ago and have lived there for 4 months. Before we moved in we noticed there were nails sticking up in the kitchen cabinets and Mr. Bueler had that fixed. When we called after closing to advise him of other problems, he called his real estate agent to complain and his agent called our agent, so we have never bothered him again, but more problem areas have surfaced. We did have an inspector but these are problems that would not easily be seen. The sink is not properly held up in the kitchen and it has come lose from the glue and inadequate supports and is leaking, the molding near the refrigerator has come loose and the light over the sink fell down. Now we have to hire someone to fix this poor workmanship. In addition the back deck was swaying, so it had to be fixed. The rods in the master bedroom closet were hung so low on the top level that you could not possibly hang a shirt or jacket there. For someone who rehabs houses, they should know how much space is needed to hang clothes for double hanging. We used a closet company in the master closet so we ignored that problem. It is a shame because his style is excellent and he is a very nice person, but the quality of the finished product could and should be better for the price. We love our new home, but something needs to be fixed on a regular basis due to the workmanship. **Comment from Bueler, Inc., Design & Remodeling:** > In response to your feedback, let me first say that Bueler, Inc. will certainly stand behind the workmanship performed by both our in-house staff and our subcontractors. I will be happy to have your kitchen sink fixed by the fabricator who installed it, reinstall the light over the sink and re-secure the molding. Please contact me if these issues still need to be addressed. We did not perform any work on the deck. It passed inspection by both your inspector and St. Louis County. The closet shelving was hung to industry standards for hanging all types of clothing and I regret that the configuration did not meet your needs. > > Unfortunately, the conversation between our realtors, as relayed to you, seems to have been misinterpreted. While we could not address the two issues that were unrelated to our construction, we have always been willing to address any issues with the work we performed. > > I hope that the good faith we showed during your home purchase, in addressing your purchase terms & conditions and substituting a non-returnable high end range for another range you selected, would show that we are committed to your satisfaction.
