Nick was able to match and extend our existing patio to better utilize our space. His team installed artificial turf that is high quality and safe for my toddler to play on. They planted a beautiful array of flowers, grasses, and bushes with my existing plants mixed in. They installed an irrigation system and topped the flower beds with mixed river rock that is not only visually pleasing but also functions to keep the soil in place. Nick’s finishing touch was the placement of a gorgeous Japanese Maple that brings the entire space together. I highly recommend Green City Design to anyone interested in revamping an outdoor space. **★★★★★ — Larry R, Aug. 2022** > My wife and I bought our dream home in Jersey City and to finish it off, we wanted to have the front and backyard, patio, and roof deck have beautiful landscaping. We had GreenCity and another landscaper with a big reputation walk through the home with us. Nick came to the home and made sure to note every detail of what we were looking for while the other landscaper had us hold up an iPad and walk through the areas virtually. > > We ended up choosing GreenCity and the attention to detail was perfect and the crew was caring throughout the project, whether it was taking off their shoes when walking through the home (without us asking) to making sure every square inch of the project was to our liking. The final result is out of this world and when they finished on schedule, we were sad to see them go only because we enjoyed having them on site so much. I’d hire GreenCity again with no hesitation in the future for any landscaping project need I had in the future and there are no negatives I can think of from the start of the project to the end. Thank you for everything. **★★★★★ — HU-722012073, Aug. 2022** > Nick and his team did an amazing job on our rooftop! Nick came to assess our space and gave us a ton of recommendations and was very flexible. After reviewing and revising our plans, the team did a great job in execution - always very professional, polite, and clean! We couldn’t be happier with our new rooftop getaway! **★★★★★ — Nisarga Markandaiah, May 2022** > Nick & his team designed our backyard for us in Downtown Jersey City from something which was non functional to a beautiful, child and pet friendly place. He was very proactive right from the first correspondence and paid attention to all details. His team was very courteous of our space and always treated it with respect and care. The entire work was carried out by them walking through the house but they left no damage. He always kept our budget constraints in mind while designing the space and was never pushy. The project consisted of hauling tons of dirt, mud and paver materials outside and bringing in new pavers, turf, laying out plants and planters. They installed a beautiful fountain for the space too. > I highly recommend Greencity design for all your landscaping needs. > (Attaching some before and after photos) **★★★★★ — HU-458862045, April 2022** > They were so easy to work with. They always kept to their word and timelines. We always felt that we could trust them and they always delivered on their plans. > They were very respectful of our building. They cleaned up after themselves daily. Nick is really great to work with and provides really helpful guidance and feedback based on what you’re overall goals are for your outdoor space. > Nick offered smart solutions and made this process stress free. > The space is beyond what we expected, we are so thrilled with the outcome. If you’re researching companies, save time and choose Green City. If given the opportunity, my husband and I would use them again. **★★★★★ — Roof-deck landscaping outdoor kitchen installatio, Jan. 2022** > We loved working with Green City Design on our Hoboken roof-deck. Nick and his team were engaged and responsive throughout the process, including a detailed design phase, careful installation and great customer service along the way. Outdoor projects involve a lot of variables and Green City was very thorough in helping us think through our goals as well as the steps to get there. Highly recommended! **★★★★★ — Alicia Rodgers, Dec. 2021** > Nick and Team were a pleasure to work with. Nick was super thorough with us on all the details of materials and layout. Our backyard came out beautifully. We are so happy we moved forward with Greencity, we love spending time out there now. **★★★★★ — S B, Dec. 2021** > We worked with Nick for our garden project in UWS in NYC. Nick was very easy to work with. He had great ideas and also listened very closely to our wishes and came up with design plan that we are very happy with. He was very responsive to all emails and calls, very respectful and had a great attitude. We can’t wait to see the results when the garden blooms in the spring. He put together a spreadsheet of all the plants and the care needed for each as the final step. We would highly recommend Nick and GREENCITY Design. **★★★★★ — Andre Benz, Dec. 2021** > The best landscaping design & build firm/contractor in NYC / Hudson County for urban. Would highly recommend as someone who has OCD over the tiniest of details not being paid attention to, Green City delivered. Top-tier attention to detail, on-site all the time, knows where to buy affordable furnishing that has great quality, and understands the importance of lighting and mood. **★★★★★ — amandabtarrant, Sept. 2021** > We worked with Nick in summer 2020, he designed and helped us to select landscaping for our front and backyard. It looks AMAZING. I liked it right away but really came to appreciate all the thoughtful selections this summer (2021). Throughout the summer we always had something new blooming and changing. From textured grasses to native perennials around our patio and pergola, there is so much to take in. We had butterflies visiting all summer and even saw a rare hummingbird moth. I knew nothing about plants so I would have never been able to pick what he did. He totally understood the vibe I was going for too. Can't recommend enough! **★★★★★ — Tony King, Sept. 2021** > Nick and his team did an incredible job completely transforming our terrace. > > We had an empty drab terrace that is now lush, beautiful and a really pretty place to spend time. Nick was extremely helpful and professional. The space was well designed, his work was detailed and exceptional. **★★★★★ — pearl\_prl, Aug. 2021** > GREENCITY built a deck platform that allowed me to store my outdoor cushions and other items so they wouldn't get wet. They also planted my entire roof deck. I am so happy with the final product! Will post more pictures when the weather clears up - but everything came out great. We ran into some challenges: 1. making the deck waterproof, and 2. accounting for the wind. Nick was able to figure out how to handle both - cushions and electronics are dry and all the containers are still standing (even after the most recent hurricane). > I can be a tough customer - Nick was thoughtful and communicated with me throughout the process and made sure everything was done right. High quality. ## Selected projects - [JERSEY CITY COURTYARD](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/jersey-city-courtyard-pj-vj~6795802) - Location: Jersey City, NJ - Photos: 13 - [JERSEY CITY BROWNSTONE](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/jersey-city-brownstone-pj-vj~6068204) - Location: Jersey City, NJ - Photos: 14 - [HOBOKEN ROOF DECK](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/hoboken-roof-deck-pj-vj~6068226) - Location: Hoboken, NJ - Photos: 18 - [HOBOKEN BROWNSTONE BACKYARD](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/hoboken-brownstone-backyard-pj-vj~6068235) - Location: Hoboken, NJ - Photos: 10 - Description: Brownstone Backyard w/ cedar pergola, horizontal cedar fence, artificial grass, and bluestone patio. - [HOBOKEN TOWNHOUSE](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/hoboken-townhouse-pj-vj~3118669) - Location: Hoboken, NJ - Photos: 4 - [JERSEY CITY COURTYARD & LIVING WALL](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/jersey-city-courtyard-and-living-wall-pj-vj~3135085) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [WOODLAND GARDEN](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/woodland-garden-pj-vj~3118631) - Location: Montclair, NJ - Photos: 21 - Description: A 5,000 SQ.FT.
