> Very disappointed. Worked with Mr. Wilder in March for a project that was supposed to be completed early this summer. Initial work was sub-par at best. Even the building inspector said that the work that was done was shoddy at best. Spent 8 hours cleaning up the mess left behind by his crew (after I had already paid 2000 dollars for the initial stages of the project. To be honest I feel entitled to a refund). I attempted to contact Mr. Wilder on multiple occasions to find out the status of my project and was never able to reach him in person. I feel like he was dodging my phone calls. I finally ended up dealing with his secretary who blamed everybody but Keith himself. Was finally informed that my project that was supposed to be completed in June was not even on the schedule until October. I have been VERY disappointed in my dealings with Mr. Wilder and his company. and would not recommend them to anybody looking for a decent, thorough contractor.

**Comment from Wilder Construction LLC:**

> As a General Contractor, scheduling is a major component to ensuring customer service and satisfaction as well as profitability for the company. In this case, it was a scheduling issue with the Colville Tribe finalizing paperwork after two months. Annette Gifford has reason to complain but the facts need to be made clear. We worked hours with the Tribe to complete the necessary permit paperwork, of which many contractors do not want to deal with. We were already booking out to the end of the summer. We completed our paperwork by the beginning of March this year (2016). We scheduled Ms. Gifford at Rainbow Beach Resort in Inchelium for April. The Tribe finalized the permit process in May. By that time, we had other customers scheduled whom we were committed to follow through, and a public works job starting after that (framing the Colville City Maintenance Building – see http://www.statesmanexaminer.com/content/framing-new-street-shop). Just to put it in perspective on the permit process, it takes about 3-10 days to obtain a permit in Stevens or Ferry County versus 1-2 months with the local tribe. That’s a lot of extra work for any contractor to work in scheduling.
>
> What Ms. Gifford failed to mention was how happy she had been with our work and ability to work with the tribe on three previous projects: concrete footings for her new manufactured home, skirting for it and temporary stairs and handrail. We also received a call from Home Repairs & Construction, another local contractor who was asked by Ms. Gifford to take on her project. He wanted to hear about the customer from another contractor and follow up on the start of the project. We gave our recommendation and were happy that someone could get out there to help her. That contractor has since taken on the work as she wrote. Another point is that we received fine reviews from the Tribe so I’m not sure where the “shoddy” part comes to play.

> We’ve learned from taking on projects such as Annette Gifford’s. As the saying goes, you can’t please everybody, and this customer is one of them. We are proud to have happy customers and endeavor to maintain quality standards in building. Check out our Testimonial page on our website: http://www.wilderconstructionllc.com/testimonials. > Keith built our house, two pole barns, a car port and several lean-to's. His priority is quality. His knows how to do things right. We can depend on Keith to be there when he says he will be, do an excellent job and get the work done. Wilder Construction is the best contractor in the Tri-County area.
