I have and will hire again. HAd done three major projects for us. **★★★★★ — Janet Thornburg, July 2016** > After many frustrating attempts to deal with a leaky balcony that let rain pour down into the garage below, I hired Christopher Wells Construction. As Christopher warned me before accepting the job, it wasn't a quick fix. The crew stripped the balcony down to the bare bones and rebuilt it. They used tar and membrane to seal the foundation before laying the new tiles. This repair was done over five years ago, and not a drop of rain has dripped through the balcony since. **★★★★★ — HU-138627, July 2016** > After years of worrying about suspected dry rot at the front of our home, we called Christopher Wells to come out and take a look at our concerns. Chris previously had assisted us in smaller projects (deck and window replacements), and we trusted his expertise. He quickly met with us, assessed the damage, and submitted an estimate for the work. Within a matter of weeks, our project was underway. We have always been impressed by the caliber of his employees, and we were not disappointed this time. We had the same crew working at our home throughout the six week project. We were happy to know that Chris often stopped by to check on the progress of the work. From the removal of old wood and stucco to the rebuilding -- both outside and inside -- we encountered courteous and competent workers who left our home in excellent condition each day. As the project moved forward, it was wonderful to have Chris be the responsible individual to interface with roofers, painters, and electricians. At the end of the process, it was great to have the front of our house not only look good, but also know that it was structurally sound! **★★★★★ — Peter Hopkinson, July 2016** > Chris built an elegant, small planted roof deck for us on our condominium's flat built up roof ,40 feet above the street, modestly sloped for drainage only. As a retired architect, I insisted we not penetrate the roof, but rest on it to avoid leaks. Chris is a first class professional! He carefully oversaw the work, and his two excellent staff carpenters were as driven by the goal of outstanding workmanship as Chris. We love the deck! it was built on time and budget. Chris navigated the city's bureaucracy with GREAT skill. Hire him! ## Selected projects - [Kitchen Remodel - (Sunny Side)](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kitchen-remodel-sunny-side-pj-vj~1860776) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 1 - [Whole House Portfolio - (Cow Hollow)](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/whole-house-portfolio-cow-hollow-pj-vj~753897) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [Bathroom Remodel - (Cow Hollow)](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/bathroom-remodel-cow-hollow-pj-vj~1860778) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [Kitchen Remodel - (Haight Ashbury)](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kitchen-remodel-haight-ashbury-pj-vj~753885) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 2 - [Whole House Renovation & Custom Remodel -(Westwood Highlands)](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/whole-house-renovation-and-custom-remodel-westwood-highlands-pj-vj~753913) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 10 - Description: Where: The Crisp House in the Monterey Heights What: Whole House Renovation and Custom Remodel Why: The homeowners decided “now is the time” for a design-build home from the ground up!
