> My wife and I first hired Scapes for a full-gut renovation project on our 1890 farmhouse in 2017.  We were familiar with the company from some of their other projects for the local colleges in our area and with their reputation for high quality and a stand-up crew.  Scapes completed our project on time and on budget, and we could not have been happier with the finished product, or the experience.  The Scapes crew and their subcontractors were reliable, friendly, polite, extremely skilled, and able to accommodate all our requests.  We were very particular about what we wanted, and John and Jon were always willing to go the extra mile to track down materials and finishes that met our expectations and desires.   We moved a lot of walls to update the layout of our house and incorporate modern amenities (like upstairs plumbing!), and essentially rebuilt the house from the studs in.  John and Jon treated the project as a collaboration with us from the start-- we designed the layout together and worked through the project as a team, piece by piece.  They took the time to explain our options to us and help us find the right fit for our needs, and, while they were clear about how different choices would affect project cost, they never tried to steer us away from where we wanted to go.  Our floors were a perfect example-- we had a particular look and finish in mind for our walnut flooring that their typical subs were not familiar with, and Jon did not rest until he'd found a local contractor who was experienced with the finish we wanted to use -- the results, as with every part of the project, were amazing.

> We liked working with Scapes so much, that when we decided to do some landscaping renovations this past fall, it didn't even cross our minds to talk to anyone else.  We hired Scapes to remove an old, unused asphalt driveway and replace it with a patio and rain garden. Again, they were on time and on budget. While we haven't been able to enjoy the patio yet (it went in right before winter), we expect to enjoy it for years to come.
