Henry encountered and solved the myriad issues, some known at the outset and some discovered during the project. He did not require much assistance from me, which is unusual with receivers. The project was completed on time, and, given the latent defects, pretty much on budget. The end result was a move in residence. From conceptual designs, through evaluation of several options for foundations and wood framing to withstand the environmental loads and winds at Plum Bush Downs in Newbury, MA. It was great to work with Henry to come up with a framing and foundtion system that will satisfy the architectural designs of floor space and exterior decks. The irregular shaped exterior walls create a dynamic view of the elevated house building. Beautiful and efficient floor space and overall project design. He created the truly original design to fit perfectly on the almost three acre riverfront property taking full advantage of the breathtaking water and marshland views. Because there would only be one person living in the home I wanted the square footage to be minimal without sacrificing an aura of spaciousness. He succeeded in achieving this goal by creating high volume ceilings as well as a floor plan with totally functional space. Structurally the building is extremely sound as he engineered the steel pilings and wood framework to withstand the heaviest buffering of the prevailing winds. I can personally attest to the structural integrity having lived in the house during wind gusts in excess of sixty knots. The exterior facade is equally as pleasing as the interior design. > Mr. Miller was professional and responsive throughout the entire design/building process consistently demonstrating an extensive knowledge of all technical disciplines required of an architect and builder.
