This was our first experience building and it was virtually painless due to selecting a great builder. We had apprehension about building in the beginning, as many of our friends and family had expressed their pains, poor experiences with poor builders or just the time/energy commitment needed when building a home. > > Sawlor was very professional yet friendly and down to earth(especially with a couple of newbies who needed some hand holding at times). Questions and concerns were addressed quickly, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and accomidating. Our quote to build was very reasonable, and responsible. They were professional, accomodating and thorough. Mark is great at helping you with customization. He understands the home is to be lived in and he helps to make it meet your needs. As the project manager he then sees it through to the finish. Mary is incrediable - always quick to return calls, answer questions and is a great resource when you don't know who to go to, she gets things done. Tony is an incredable finish carpenter and helps with those all important final decisions. Very impressed with Keith Sawlor and his team. There was a very thorough consultation from day one; layout, electrical, plumbing, materials, upgrades, etc., and a complete 2" binder with all aspects of the building process, materials and agreed changes was given to us prior to touching the soil. The construction was slower than expected but then this was our first experience with a "custom" home builder. The house was not a 'knock-off' and his team's work showed that. They were very receptive to changes and individual input in the early consultation which reduced later issues to next to nothing. Highest quality materials throughout and excellent workmanship. To prove this point; there were no come backs/repairs performed by Keith or his team at the end of the 1 year period under the home ownership program which is essentially unheard of for most homes: and we were thorough in going over the house.
