Ceilings are 10’ high, and less than 1’ between the window trim and crown. Any recommendations on how high to place the rod? Also, should I still use 2x width for fullness if I never plan to pull them shut, or would 1.5 width be okay? If possible, please ignore the temporary, too-high light fixture. A: Hi! Are you planning on custom drapery or already-made? Because that will determine the height for you. I would place it in the middle of the crown and the window trim, so 1/2" from the top of the trim and 1/2" from the bottom of the crown. What is the width of the window and the width of the wall? Our current home has a family and formal living room so we have 2 sofas, 2 love seats, and 2 accent chairs. Would want to use some of them but am open to new sofa.
