### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Lara Deen, Aug. 2021**

> I rated Samantha a 5 and I wanted to be very specific about why.
>
> She listened intently to me. Specifically, she listened to my vision and my set of largely unorganized ideas before doing anything. She constantly checked in on this. I felt understood and aligned with her throughout the entire process.
>
> She presented an organized and very easy to process set of options for the overall design, construction elements, products, fixtures, art (all of it). I appreciated that each option was clearly thought out and aligned with the look I wanted to achieve. I also appreciated that she presented a few well thought out choices versus presenting too many where I would feel overwhelmed.
>
> She is flexible and honest. I could tell some of my priorities and ideas were not aligned with hers, but she went with it. She also allowed me to find lower cost options and gave me solid advice about whether those would or would not work. She gave me straight up advice on design, practicality, and investment. She encouraged me (but did not push me) to spend on things like light fixtures (for example) which I would have not done otherwise, but then scaled me back on other improvements I thought I needed to make that were clearly not necessary.
>
> She is accountable. As with any construction and design project things don’t always go as planned. There were instances were art, fixtures, paint, etc... Did not work perfectly but she took full responsibility and accountability to make it right.
>
> She proactively engaged with my contractor and made sure he was in sync on construction aspects of the job. Specifically, she coordinated necessary meetings, kept him on time and on task, and held him accountable for quality and precision.
>
> She worked tirelessly until I was happy with the result. I love my home and the space she created for our family. It is a sanctuary for us, a perfect place for my kids and their friends to be kids, and it is a great place to entertain.
>
> A few final notes. Samantha clearly loves her work and has a deep passion for creating beautiful, personalized, and functional spaces for her clients. I also found her to be very genuine. She is a successful businesswoman and a mom, and she showed up as both every day. For me this was a huge bonus and so very refreshing.

> My husband and I had very different ideas about what we needed but Samantha came in and made us both very happy. The "awkward room" is now "the study" and it's functional, comfortable and absolutely beautiful! We use it everyday and anyone that comes over loves everything about it. Samantha had to use a lot if patience with us but she always ended up just nailing it in the end. We will continue to use Juxtaposed interiors again and again!

**★★★★★ — Erin Costa, Oct. 2020**

> It was an absolute pleasure to work with Samantha. She came into our brand new naked house and gave us some really great insight and honest opinions. As I shopped for furniture and decor, she was not only quick to respond to my texts, but she also sent me some great items that matched the esthetic I was looking for. I would definitely recommend Juxtaposed Interiors to my family and friends and will contact her for any future decorating endeavors.

> Samantha is an extremely talented designer! My husband and I needed a lot of guidance and direction for creating a new, beautiful and comfortable environment in our new house that we recently moved into a few months ago. Quite honestly, we didn’t know where to begin. Samantha was referred to us by a friend. I am so happy that I contacted Samantha. She knew how to help us. In addition to being a talented designer, Samantha is easy to work with and is always considerate, patient and professional. We highly recommend Samantha!

**★★★★★ — Irene Wu, May 2020**

> We loved working with Juxtaposed Interiors! We hired Samantha to design our family room, kitchen nook, and dining room. Samantha is a true professional. She is reliable, extremely responsive, and went above and beyond in handling any issues that came up along the way. I loved the collaborative design process and always felt comfortable providing feedback and suggestions. Samantha is full of fresh ideas and works tirelessly looking for the perfect furnishings and décor to make the room beautiful and functional. We are so happy with the results and look forward to working on more projects with her!

**★★★★★ — Tammy Anderson-Wise, May 2020**

> Samantha was amazing to work with. She was very helpful throughout the entire new home build and was always available, especially "in the moment" when a decision needed to be made. We really enjoyed working with her and would highly recommend her design services.

**★★★★★ — Bret Fair, Dec. 2018**

> Samantha is an expert in her field and an absolute pleasure to work with. Though my project was not in her typical wheelhouse of design, she decided to challenge herself and take on the project anyway. I could not be happier with the outcome! Her attention to detail and eye for design is unlike anything I have witnessed. She continually went out of her way to ensure that my expectations were always far exceeded and took on responsibilities far outside of her contractual obligations to ensure my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Samantha for any and all design needs you may have. I am looking forward to hiring her again on my Farm House project. Thank you, Samantha!

**★★★★★ — Pat Sterne, March 2018**

> Samantha was so much fun to work with. She listened to my concerns and my likes, dislikes and what look I was trying to achieve. She offered suggestions and choices and also alternatives. She also was always avaiable to answer questions, look at photos of products and address any questions or concerns I had.

**★★★★★ — Theresa Tickler, Nov. 2017**

> Excellent work. I would recommend them they do a great job. If you ever need carpeting or flooring done they are the people you need.

**★★★★★ — Amanda Geissberger, April 2017**

> Samantha is amazing! She was so willing to hear our ideas and offer a variety of choices for us to work with, varied resources and price points without overwhelming us. She has a wonderful sense of space, style, and imagination. Samantha is very creative with her room layouts and always responds to email and texts promptly with a sense of cooperation that is appreciated. I would HIGHLY recommend Samantha Crow and Juxtaposed Interiors.

**★★★★★ — Jenny Christophersen, Dec. 2016**

> I hired Juxtaposed Interiors to remodel my home office for my real estate business. Samantha came over and measured and immediately got to work on designing everything. My office is the first room in my home that people see and it turned out amazing! She completely transformed a home office I hated, to one that I absolutely love!! I am constantly getting compliments and my clients love it as much as I do. I will be hiring her again in the future and sending all referrals to her. She truly goes above and beyond and far exceeded my expectations while sticking to my budget. Looking forward to future projects with Juxtaposed Interiors. Thank you again soon much!! :)

## Community Q&A

**Q: what brand/ color was used for green in bathroom?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Green paint color

A: Sherwin-Williams Greenblack 6994

**Q: STYLE & FURNITURE PARALYZED!** *(in Home Decorating)*

How to achieve light airy yet cozy feel that's not southern or farmhouse. I like style similar to what I see in nashville a touch of velvet or leathee but also like coastal vibes for light staycation feel. We just built modest transitional home with open floor plan in a suburban GA town.

A: Looks nice! Can you post a few photos of the style you see in Nashville that you like? To get a feel for what you're looking for. Thanks!

**Q: Drapery height and width recommendations for dining room window?** *(in Home Decorating)*

I want to make botanical print drapes for this window. Ceilings are 10’ high, and less than 1’ between the window trim and crown. Any recommendations on how high to place the rod? Also, should I still use 2x width for fullness if I never plan to pull them shut, or would 1.5 width be okay? If possible, please ignore the temporary, too-high light fixture.

A: Hi! Are you planning on custom drapery or already-made? Because that will determine the height for you. I would place it in the middle of the crown and the window trim, so 1/2" from the top of the trim and 1/2" from the bottom of the crown. What is the width of the window and the width of the wall? Do you want to hang anything on either side of the window?

**Q: Help on living room furniture layout** *(in Home Decorating)*

Need opinion on placement of furniture on new home construction. Our current home has a family and formal living room so we have 2 sofas, 2 love seats, and 2 accent chairs. Would want to use some of them but am open to new sofa. I'd like a chaise sofa but still unsure number of seating. If we're going to use one of the loveseat, then maybe a 3 seater. My husband doesn't like anything to block the sliding door and there's a corner TV/fireplace beside it. What suggestions does anyone have for this space? And I'm still going to figure out where to put wall pictures eventually.

A: Do you know how much seating you would like or need for this space?

**Q: Taj Mahal Slab backsplash help with window and hood wall /no cabinets** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Our designer likes the bottom rendition. I like the top-as I prefer a straight line not a cutout. For reference:The hood will go to 11 ft. ceiling and the window is 84 widthx48 ht. Window is new as the room is a cave now! And will have 3 sconces above it.
I prefer version 3-with or without shelf. Shelf would be at cabinet height (ai could not make it right!)

A: Hi! Have you considered taking the tile to the ceiling?

**Q: Ideas for Moody Whiskey/Wine Room** *(in Home Decorating)*

We started converting a den right off the living room which is also very open to both dining and kitchen (see pics. We are going for a moody whiskey/wine bar feel and are also converting closet to a dry bar. Items in middle of drawing are staying-we love them (all others are there for function until we finish)

Chandelier/light
Accent wall behind pic or paint all walls
Storage cabinet in front of window (not to block window and possibly add a tabletop record player)
Space for coffee table books
Decor for other wall (thinking gallery with different frames?)
Drapes

Open to any ideas and questions, thank you!

A: Hands down, I agree with Lyn. Especially with the color drenching.
