> We hired Conway Designworks to do our new kitchen, laundry room, and son's loft bed. We were more than satisfied with the sympathetic approach to building extremely high quality pieces that fit with our heritage home. Keith Conway offers that rare combination of skill, attention to detail, and good taste. We've already hired him to build us a few more, smaller, pieces, and have recommended him to friends.

 - Description: This beautiful heritage home was renovated to feel more contemporary, while maintaining its original charm. We went with off-white inset shaker cabinets to create a light and airy feel, while at the same time keeping with its heritage appeal. We utilized the space by adding a corner storage pull-out under the counter, deep island space with side cabinets and a large pantry with pull-out shelves.

 - Location: Vancouver, BC

 - Description: The home originally built in the early '90's, this kitchen was outdated and severely underutilizing it's space, and that of the adjoining dining nook. With a completely redesigned layout, including the addition of a large functional island, and two spacious pull-out pantries, we transformed this kitchen into a beautiful modern and practical space.
- [Dublin Street Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/dublin-street-kitchen-pj-vj~298758)
 - Location: New Westminster, BC
 - Photos: 9
 - Description: This beautiful New Westminster heritage house had a tired and dark kitchen. With doors falling off and some missing it was time for a revamp. New custom shaker style cabinets, painted cream with unique feet details gave this kitchen just what it needed to blend right into its surroundings.
- [Arbutus Street Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/arbutus-street-kitchen-pj-vj~85590)
 - Location: Vancouver, BC
 - Photos: 6
 - Description: This original kitchen in this 1970's Vancouver apartment was small, dark, and impractical. We removed some walls and gave it a fresh new layout, then installed beech cabinets, and recycled glass concrete countertops, transforming it into a warm, welcoming, and useful part of the home.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Paint colors?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I absolutely love this kitchen and the selection of grays on the island, cabinets and walls! Can you tell me what color grays you used??

A: The cabinet gray is Steel Wool. I am unsure about the walls.

**Q: Dimensions of baking counter** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love the low counter for baking! What are the dimensions of the counter over the blue cabinets? Thanks!

A: 6' long
32" high
30" deep

**Q: Low Counter** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the purpose of the low counter? At only 5'1", I've often thought while chopping veggies how much easier it might be if my counter were lower. But afraid to do it. Thanks!

A: The lower counter was designed for a client the same height as you. She wanted it lower so it is easier for baking and chopping!
