### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Justin Leone, Dec. 2021**

> Absolutely loved what Roberta came up with for our modern/glam living room! I would highly recommend her to anyone.

**★★★★★ — Lizzie, Nov. 2021**

> Roberta was great! She helped design a few rooms after the purchase of our first home. She was very receptive to meeting our specific needs and wants. She accommodated our unique vision (we like some funky stuff and bright colors) as well as elevated it to the next level. She isn’t afraid to say if something won’t work in a space, but then she’ll provide an alternative that does. She was very responsive and timely. It was a pleasure working with her and we would utilize her in the future if we decided to do any more to the house! We’re very happy with the way the plans are coming along.

**Comment from Interiors by Roberta:**

> Thank you Lizzie! It was a joy working with you and Justin on your new home. Thanks for trusting in me. Can’t wait to see the end results. You both have excellent taste. Next… the award-winning Nursery!

**★★★★★ — Sanders Burstein, Aug. 2019**

> We have been working with Roberta Garrison for the last year on a significant redesign of our home. She has been great to work with- she has great ideas, an excellent sense of design and the use of space, she has provided great suggestions for how to make the most of our redesign with her knowledge of the many resources for lighting, furniture, floor coverings, tile, etc. She responds quickly when we have questions or concerns (we have had many) and she is readily available for site visits. She is often pushing the team (contractors, sub-contractors, and us) to meet to stay on track, which is very helpful. Our project has grown considerably from our initial vision, in part because of “surprises” that surfaced during the remodeling process and in part from her suggestions and our growing needs as we saw this space become more beautiful and functional. She is fun to work with, has a lovely personality, and was willing to flex with our tastes when it was necessary. Warning: you will like what you get and so the project may grow on you (as will the scope and cost of the project)…We are about to start Phase 2 of our project and are already thinking about Phase 3. Roberta will be with us through to the end….We love her!

> Roberta is by far a natural designer who's care and attention shows in her work. She expresses the clients wants and desires in an elegant and sophisticated way. Roberta is thorough in collection information and execution of her clients desires and will work tirelessly to completion.
> If you are needing help creating any interior I recommend Roberta for your project as I have seen her in action and the outcome will be extraordinary.

**★★★★★ — Sandy Cab, Aug. 2017**

> My wife and I had been looking forward to working with Roberta on our home remodel. Besides her reputation as an extraordinary color consultant, she has a talent with designing custom mirrors. What a difference. Our space brightened up and tripled in size. The furniture selection could not have been more perfect. I would describe our new look as Casual Elegance.
> Roberta is professional, on time, and organized. She can work with any budget, and comes up with clever ideas I would have never thought of. I would highly recommend her.

**Comment from Interiors by Roberta:**

> Thank you Sandra and Manolo!
> I, too, was impressed with the radical results. It was a pleasure working with you.

**★★★★★ — Jaye Carr Design & Renovations, LLC, Aug. 2017**

> Roberta has such a unique sense of style and flair. I watched her completely transform a home by opening walls and designing completely new spaces. One of my favorite parts of the job was the way she worked with the outdoors , adding large windows to open up the beautiful view that seemed was never appreciated. The kitchen is stunning and her taste in artwork is exceptional.
> Roberta has the talent to transform a space to make it beautiful and functional !

**Comment from Interiors by Roberta:**

> Coming from a fellow colleague, your comments are truly appreciated. I am honored. Thank you Jaye!

**★★★★★ — Anthony Vogan, Aug. 2017**

> After seeing her work featured in Coastal Home, we hired Roberta to blend our traditional pieces of furniture with our contemporary art collection. The end result pulled together amazingly. Feels like a showcase home.

**★★★★★ — Susan Liming, Aug. 2017**

> Roberta consulted with me on finishes and details on fixtures for my bathroom remodel. So appreciated her patience with my desire to see options, and her insistence that I was completely satisfied with my final decisions.

**★★★★★ — Regina VanderWerff, Aug. 2017**

> Roberta is an exceptionally talented interior designer. I have known her for over 15 years and she has always impressed me with her discriminating taste and pleasant demeanor. I have admired her solo work and also collaborated on a few projects. If you are looking for international style with classical refinement - Roberta is the top choice!

**Comment from Interiors by Roberta:**

> I am honored, Regina. The admiration is mutual! I can´t wait to collaborate on many more projects in the near future.

**★★★★★ — Amy Wax, Aug. 2017**

> Having heard rave reviews about Roberta Garrison from one of my customers in Rancho Santa Fe, I hired her to design 2 of my Retail stores in Del Mar. One was a Remodel Project and the second was New Construction. As both Designer and Project Manager, Roberta supervised the General Contractor's team. Construction was based on her drawings and plans. Creativity, lighting, and merchandise display are key in retail. She nailed it. Roberta is extremely professional and focuses on your personal concerns and interests.
> Since then I have been honored to see Roberta's Residential Design work. I am constantly impressed by her spectacular vision and sense of design. With no hesitation I would highly recommend Interiors by Roberta to friends and family!

**★★★★★ — Monica Aleman, Aug. 2017**

> A couple of my friends had used Roberta as a Designer in one way or another. Each project unique and amazing. I was nervous about investing in a bathroom remodel. My dilema was converting a Jack and Jill bathroom into two separate bathrooms now that my twin boys were older. She studied the plumbing issues and how best to divide the space. After quoting the project, she brought in her team of subs. A month or so later, done! Incredible job. I trusted Roberta´s ability to solve complex construction issues so I gave her free reign to my Kitchen. She asked key questions to members of the family as well as our Cook. Amazingly, she created a custom space that fulfilled each of our needs. Unlike before, I now love to cook and my kitchen is now the envy of my Friends.

**Comment from Interiors by Roberta:**

> I love a challlenge! I will never turn one down. It's great that your home's value went up with an additional bathroom. Even better was to see the look on both your boy's faces when they each had a unique custom bathroom all to themselves!

**★★★★★ — Donna Steinback, Aug. 2017**

> My husband and I bought an old building and hired Roberta Garrison to completely gut it and transform it into a high end women's clothing store. She did such a fantastic job that she received the ASID Award for Outstanding Retail Store. Roberta was very easy to work with and made the experience very enjoyable. If another opportunity arises we would hire her in a heartbeat!

**Comment from Interiors by Roberta:**

> Donna - it was a pleasure working on this project with you and Mark. It was quite a challenge, but we did it! Yes, the results were truly impressive. More importantly was how well your spectacular merchandise was highlighted!

  - Description: This was designed for a couple moving into this 3-level townhouse in Coastal town of Carlsbad in San Diego, California as a second home. New construction involved selecting all finishes from the start. Wide plank wood flooring on the first 2 floors, and carpeting on the 3rd floor and staircases. The challenge was designing around the couple´s massive art collection. Furniture was selected according to the art pieces, each forming little "vignettes" that pulled together perfectly. Large scaled li…

  - Location: Jackson, NH

  - Description: The Master Bathroom of this 100+ year old house in Jackson, New Hampshire, was undergoing its first remodel. A local Interior Designer and Architect were hired for this massive renovation which involved completely "gutting" the space and starting from scratch. As a collaborator, I assisted the family members select finishes, fixtures, and lighting. All was updated, while keeping the era´s traditional look.
- [Del Mar Girl's Dream Bedroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/del-mar-girl-s-dream-bedroom-pj-vj~2644016)
  - Location: Del Mar, CA
  - Photos: 9
  - Description: This Project involved redecorating a little girl's bedroom in the San Diego town of Del Mar in California. When the family first moved in, the girl was 3. Now, as a 10-year old, the family -especially Julia- wanted more "grown up" look. The spacious 20'x25' bedroom had 12' ceilings, so space planning involved having to fill the space with larger scale pieces such as the armoire and the chest of drawers. The bed was a custom design "House", complete with a second story bed for sleepover friends,…

  - Description: This adorable little 6-year old had a fascination with trains. What better way to fill this large room than with a Steam Engine soaring in through a brick tunnel from a corner of the room. This train doubles as a bunk bed complete with a stack that actually toots. The walls were hand painted Murals of landscaping including favorite places the family often visited. The opposite corner features the Train Station that he and his friends can play Nintendo or simply "hang" as they await the train!

  - Description: This Project was New Construction. Brand new 56 story building in the heart of Panama City, Panama. This particular Condo was on the 44th Floor. The biggest challenge was working on the Construction Documents long-distance from the US. Since I am 100% bilingual, Spanish was not an issue. Ceiling and Lighting design were all custom, having to integrate a central air conditioning system without cutting through the stunning floor-to-ceiling 10' doors throughout. Finish selection, space planning, an…

## Community Q&A

**Q: Love the range hood. Who makes it?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: A company called "Kobe". Mostly used in industrial settings.

**Q: ???** *(in Photo Questions)*

Holy Cow

A: Now THIS is cool! Congrats!

**Q: Barstools** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where or who made them?

A: Barstools are made by Christopher Guy.

**Q: Help! My dining room needs more personality** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Since this picture I have made the table longer by inserting a leaf and adding 2 chairs. Maybe drapes? How do I dress the side table? I'm at a loss.

A: On console wall: Mirror entire wall.
Remove shutters.
Add stationery panels + operable sheers.
Move console to window.
If you now added a leaf to the table, you might reconsider the rug.

**Q: Boring fireplace - Please Help** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Lot's of angular shapes. Horrible marble looking tile around fireplace. Would like to do something with texture on part of fireplace or all the way to ceiling?? This corner gets lots of light. Carpet is being replaced with hardwood floors. Any ideas would be so appreciated! Thanks!

A: I would remove the mantel.
Make that a focal wall by adding some fabulous tile or stone - entire wall.
Since fireplace is off-center, add a very tall thin sculptural piece
Or a tall vase with some very tall branch... Or?

**Q: Shelves HELP!!:)** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I love my shelves however I'm not sure they're working how I placed them...Should I forget my thought of using them to flank the fireplace and maybe set them side by side on one side of the fireplace?

A: I found some floating shelves at Ikea a while back. Might still have them. Maybe 42" long . Invisible hardware. Dark brown. Also, the stoop would be more of an extended hearth just raised. If I find a photo, I will send it. If only i could sketch it on this posting....
