> I have had nothing but the best rapport, support, design and install from Maureen and her team.  They undertook a huge front and back yard project.  We completely relandscaped the front of my 115 year old bungalow with a lush perennial garden (and added in some of my mature plants from elsewhere on the property).  We carved out two huge new beds and they are chock full of plants I love.  We did a complete gut of my hard scape in the rear yard, created a beautiful walkway and patio for my new pergola and a second for my dining table and relandscaped the entire backyard and expanded a huge sun loving perennial bed and added trees and some landscape lighting and a shade bed too. Simply stunning!

We disconnected the downspout, dug a trench, filled it with river rocks and put a "rain chain" in place of the downspout and the rainwater is directed into this dry creek bed. **Q: What type of stone is that?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello,
We are in the process of choosing a stone for pathway around our house. Very natural setting in the bush. Please, can you help me. My husband is about to choose granite that has been torched.....

A: It's Full Range Bluestone.

**Q: How is the bluestone set?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: We excavate to a depth of approximately 6".   We install a bed of crushed "grade 8" gravel and stone dust and compact it.  We then put down a layer of course "torpedo" sand to a depth of 1.5".  Stone is then leveled on the sand.  Polymeric sand is then swept into the joints.

Typical exterior door with glass block sidelights and transom.
Replaced with single-unit steel and glass door with sidelights and transom. Installed 9" house numbers in transom from House Number Lab.

**Q: Need help for the outside of our cabin/lake home.** *(in Before & After)*

We've remodeled the inside and now the outside needs work.   The siding is vinyl.   The door on top is actually the main door (slider) to the cabin.     We are putting on a new deck and I was thinking maybe with cable style railing?   Any ideas would be appreciated.

A: Balusters are the vertical pieces of the railing system, under the top rail.

Nice aesthetic to this fence. Is there any risk of sagging or do you simply put your posts closer together? Thanks!

A: Posts are every 6' instead of standard 8'.  It has held up very nicely.

A: Bluestone with a chiseled edge.
