Our custom tile work can include a variety of materials such as ceramic, porcelain, marble, or granite tile. We also do in-floor heating installation. We are currently using the Schluter shower system with great results When getting bids from different installers there are a few things to consider when comparing. While we are not the cheapest, we are also not the most expensive. What we do is a skill and a craft. Tile distributors and designers routinely refer us to their clients with very complex projects and expensive tile. My team is experienced and well compensated for the quality of work they do. We carry liability and workman’s comp insurance and very importantly, any trade we send to your house will be licensed and insured as well. We always stand behind our work. Even well after a project is completed, I have returned sometimes years later to inspect a concern of a customer. I chose a difficult tile/pattern (handmade parallelogram tile that I wanted done in a chevron pattern). I didn't realize beforehand how intricate/tedious the work was to cut around the windows and electrical outlets and to ensure the tiles were lined up and no slivers of tiles at the end. The tiler even used a protractor (with the level) to ensure that the chevron was laid perfectly. (I now know why a previous tiler I called said that they would not do chevron tile work.) The team was professional, respectful of the house, cleaned up each evening and even worked on a Saturday on their day off to finish the job. I would guess Sonoma Tile out of CA. **Q: Tile quality** *(in Photo Questions)* Can anyone tell me whether the quality of the tile you buy at Home Depot or Lowe's is inferior to what you would buy at a more expensive tile store? I don't want to save money up front if it's going to cost me more in the long run! A: If it's large format tile then a bow is common.
