> HJL CMS managed the "passive house inspired" construction for our new house project and we were extremely pleased with the results. The project manager, Jeff, was always on top of everything and worked well with all of our subcontractors. Also, the in house designer, Steve, was available to ensure everything was built to plan and managed the engineering calculations, timber frame design, and 3D modeling for virtual tours of the house. Of course the company founder and leader, Hugh, was always there to ensure things were going well with the project.

Where did you get your wood?  Such a great way to make it look natural.

A: Thanks! This project has a little bit of everything in it.  We got the Oak from a local lumber company.  Some of the rafters are from an old barn and the railings and balusters were collected from the property and hand crafted on site.  Let me know if you have any questions.
