I had both bathrooms remodeled, created a walk-in closet, installed recessed lighting, put in new baseboards, and painted throughout the entire interior. I absolutely love my newly updated home! It’s a huge improvement, in terms of aesthetics and more importantly, functionality. While the process of remodeling is never easy, my project manager, Joseph, calmed my nerves throughout the process and smoothed out any bumps encountered along the way. I appreciated his efforts to stay within budget and get the project completed on time. There were some minor additional costs, primarily to bring a couple of things up to current building codes. While the project was originally estimated to take 3-4 weeks, I did add on a few items, so it ended up taking 6.5 weeks. Given the amount of work that was done, I think that was a fair amount of time. Family and friends that have visited my “new” condo have commented on the high quality of work. If you are thinking of a remodel, do it! They did all the work, demolition and waste removal, cabinet installation, counter installation, painting, and appliance installation (minor plumbing and electrical). > I worked with Eddie Peer initially who came out and gave me the estimate. One of the things Y9 does that most others dob not is to provide a 3-D rendering of the proposed layout right on the spot. Any changes (and I had several), were easily incorporated to an updated design. Eddie was very patient with all my questions and changes for what was is considered a relatively small job. > I hired Y9 based on their estimate and their ability to be flexible around my particular needs regarding budget but also incorporating semi-custom cabinets and design to fit some of the constraints of my utilities/layout of my kitchen. I hired them based in part on their website, that shows they can accommodate pretty much any remodel budget or design elements from stock to semi-custom to custom (cabinets, counters, flooring, lighting, tile, painting etc.). A: awesome upgrade! great look! **Q: Help with Kitchen LAYOUT** *(in Design Dilemma)* I posted a question about cabinet manufacturers yesterday along with a photo of our 75% complete plan. Someone recommended that my space could be used better than our drawing shows and suggested I post measurements here for some suggestions. A: Hi, I would probably change it and put in a corner wall cabinet, but overall it looks great to me! Where you gonna get the cabinets from? **Q: Opinion of hood?** *(in Design Dilemma)* So we had venetian plaster on our kitchen hood that started cracking at the bottom...it would have cost big $$ to fix it, so instead we replaced the bottom part with wood and added a crown molding to the top. The color of the wood matches our island (kinda hard to tell in the photo). My question is...what do you think of it? Do you think it would look better if the beige plaster part was wood paneled too? I did the majority of the work myself. A: looks good! **Q: How do my small kitchen plans look?** *(in Design Dilemma)* We are about to hit a 50 year old kitchen. As you can see it is not a cute vintage kitchen but a dark hole with little functional workspace. How do the new designs look? The pictures just show the design not the materials we will use. I am going to do simply white cabinets with a marble like quartz countertop. The backsplash will be a Ming green hex mosaic. To the left of the kitchen in a porch that we will make a mudroom later.
