He is dependable and reliable. We were on a specific timeline and Alan set appropriate expectations and delivered. He replaced our popcorn ceilings with new sheet rock (this was NOT a small job), replaced all of the insulation throughout the house, oversaw new carpet install and painting throughout the house. Quality work, on-time and within budget, and knowledgeable. I had contacted the first builder and I was told that he was booked during the time frame that I was looking to build. The builder then told me told me to contact Alan Mann to see if he was available for the project. The builder told me that I would be lucky if Alan was available and boy was he correct. Within a week of contacting Alan he arrived at my home. Alan was friendly, positive about my project and a pleasure to deal with. He immediately took a personal interest in my project which was a log home addition which can be challenging at times. The project involved attaching an 1100 square foot log home addition with 18 foot high ceilings to a 1970’s ranch house. I purchased the log home package through Coventry Log Homes. Alan worked directly with the log home manufacturer to make sure that all of the details were covered. In addition he provided me guidance on several cost saving ideas to utilize during the construction process. The end product was a beautiful log home addition. Alan and his crew completed the project with excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. The project was also completed on time and more importantly on budget. The work included replacing some damaged wall framing, insulation, sheathing, windows and siding. Alan was very helpful with the planning and scheduling of the project. The work was started on the scheduled date and framing and sheathing were completed within two weeks. Windows and doors were ordered during the planning stage and arrived shortly after completion of the sheathing. We planned to heat the addition with a gas fireplace and Alan coordinated the electrical work to coincide withe the fireplace installation. When decisions had to be made during construction Alan explained the issue and offered suggestions. We couldn't be more pleased with the construction process and ultimately the finished product. He was easy to work with and had wonderful ideas and skills. His communication was frequent and detailed, even emailing pictures as he progressed, which was important to me, since I was 1600 miles away from the project. The second project was in the same house in October of 2012. Once again, he totally gutted three more rooms, a living room and two bedrooms. In addition, he replaced all the windows in the house.
