After ripping out the carpet, he evened out the steps, which had been of various heights, constructed tight-fitting treads, and put these really snazzy button plugs on the treads to give my staircase a vintage look. The whole job took less time than he'd anticipated, so he took on an extra job at no cost --trimming off a 1/2" on my closet door so that it now clears the area rug. Of course, I already have plans to hire him again for my next project. Desmond is extremely skilled at what he does, cleans up after the job is done, and is always friendly and polite.
