I was skeptical that any designer could pull this off but Mimi met all of our needs with flying colors! And she is extremely willing to work within budget constraints and provide several options. With wallpaper, it's typically okay to apply it to the setback wall since the heat is mainly focused towards the front. I would not apply it to the surface where the fireplace opening is located. For this project, however, the setback wall was done with a stencil which was time consuming! But wallpaper would have been just fine.
