They asked for my input on preferred plants and if I had any favorites. After we discussed what I wanted and liked, they presented a landscape plan, detailed with plant varieties, the layout and quantity of each plant. We discussed/agreed on all the plants before the work was begun. A tall beautiful pot was included that currently holds plants, but could easily be converted to a fountain should I want to. In addition to the work they did, they were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and a joy to work with. A: These are real rocks (flagstone to be exact). They are simply dry stacked. **Q: What is the base material of the flower beds?** *(in Photo Questions)* What is the base material of the flower beds? Rock, mulch or other? A: Before installing the rock border, we installed a layer of crushed granite for stabilization. When planting the plant material, we install organic soil and hardwood mulch.
