It is a small space and we were required to have the space not only serve the needs of guests, but also allow access to a washer and dryer. Keith supervised the demo work and built a new wainscot around the walls. The wood work was first rate. Keith also moved the interior lighting to better light the sink/vanity area. The walls were opened up and then new dry-wall was installed. I noticed that the employees were on their phones a lot and some were late and some were just fooling around. There were about four of them in my home at the time including the owner and they were supposed to work for 5 days or more. I spoke with the owner about my concerns regarding his employees and he waited till I left for work and packed up everything and everyone and left. I found out from someone in my home that they left right after I did, but the owner waited about four hours before texting me to turn the job down after he had already accepted it. In the two hours that all four people were on site, they installed one light fixture for me. They really left me hanging and set my remodel way behind schedule. :( **Comment from BEAR FLAG CONSTRUCTION:** > I received no money from this person! > She arraigned for me to come and be paid by the hour and said she would supply all materials. > The previous contractor had left abruptly and did not finish. i was asked to install baseboards,complete tile in bathroom tub/shower and finish french doors leading into > the master bedroom. When we arrived the flooring guy was still working therefore unable to work until he was finished. No one was fooling around, we were scattered throughout looking the materials that were supposed to supplied. Both sides of the jamb for doors with two sidelights was unsecured and swinging back and forth. I informed her that the door came with threshold that provided the function of actually holding the frame in position and serve as stability when doors moved open and closed. I informed of the proper application and sequence and the frame and flooring that had just installed need to be removed and reinstalled said there was no time for that. Meanwhile my tile setter informed me that the and waterproofing was inadequate and would leak therefore needed to be redone if we were supply a quality job that would stand up. She told us to proceed anyway and was incensed that we would not do what she told us to do. > I have 38 years experience and she was unwilling to do the right thing which put in the decision to follow wrong directives or leave. > So we simply left, not wanting to compromise what we know was right! **★★★★★ — leerovin, April 2016** > It was a real pleasure getting to know Keith and see his high standards result in beautiful work. I hired him to build a fence and do some carpentry work on my house. When he ran into some unexpected problems he told me he had to "stare at the work for moment". He seemed to capture a solution out of the air and then proceeded on the job. Even though he could have finished earlier, his principles caused him to take the time to do the job right and exceeding his contractual requirements. Even after I paid him for the job, he came back the next day to finish up some painting and cleaning up.
