> We built a house with Landmark and closed 11/2015. We would recommend using your own realtor so you have an advocate for yourself. Be aware your contract will NOT be contingent upon appraisal, so if your appraisal comes in lower than the purchase price like ours did, it is your problem. Make sure you have everything as you ant it before you close, because getting them to come back and do repairs etc is impossible. We still have standing water issues in our backyard,  retaining wall blocks not secure and one of our children fell because of it, different color paints on the same wall, different color grout in our tile, the list goes on and on. We moved in to a drywall dust covered house that was missing cabinet doors, an outlet covers among other things that we were assured the night before would be fixed prior to closing. I went straight from work the next day to sign papers and wish I would have went to the house prior to signing. When you touched the walls/doors your hand was white from the dust!!! We have never had that "new house" we paid for. Get everything in writing because we were told some things were included by one person via phone but turns out they were not then be told by Steve it is not his fault you can't read! Regret trusting them to build our dream home.

> Landmark Homes always provides clear, concise documentation when customizing a home for our buyers. We build ‘custom’ homes and allow our clients to make any custom change. When providing total customization, we never allow a contingency for appraisal or financing because of the unique changes. In this case, Landmark went above and beyond to help the buyers by discounting the price to help them qualify for the home loan when the husband lost his job. Full contracted price with the custom changes was never paid and some is still due. Landmark did many things, at no charge, to try to help their situation and get them into the home even after we had another appraisal above the contracted price. The retaining wall referred to was modified by the buyer after moving in. Landmark has been back for numerous warranty and touch-up appointments over the past 10 months even after not getting paid in full. We have continued to request the balance due and cannot provide further warranty work until paid in full.  We take pride in the homes we build and our solid reputation for over 30 years. We have hundreds of happy customers and will gladly provide references. We hope it helps to hear the other side of the story. A: The sliding door in this home was provided by Gerkin windows & doors. The left side slides. The middle and right are fixed. Hope that help. Thank you.
