Our experience has been completely unacceptable. > They sent an incompetent subcontractor to install a single plantation shutter, and the result was extensive damage. The installer destroyed the wall around the window—tearing up the wallboard and leaving cracks all around the shutter frame. > To top it off, the shutter itself was installed improperly, with a large, obvious gap where the frame pieces meet. It’s clear there was no attention to detail or basic craftsmanship.The finished result looks worse than before any work was done. > What’s even more frustrating is Decorview’s response. When we contacted them, they refused to take responsibility and instead tried to shift the blame onto the subcontractor—despite the fact that Decorview hired them. Since then, they have failed to return calls and have taken no action to address or repair the damage. > This level of poor workmanship, lack of accountability, and complete disregard for the customer is unacceptable. I received notification that my blinds were in and the installer would contact me. I waited a month no contact. When I started writing complaining someone contacted me that same day. The blinds were installed some pieces were missing. I was told it’ll take 10 to 15 days for the part to come in and they’d contact me. One set of blinds were the wrong size. I contacted customer service and was told give them 48 hrs to receive the paperwork from the installer. Recently the cord broke on the vertical blinds for our sliding door. Should be a simple fix. Tried calling their customer service number, it’s atrocious. They give you an option to leave your number so they can keep you in the queue and call you back but after 3 attempts they never did. After 3 attempts over a week with no return phone call, I decided to outlast them and stay on hold. That lasted over an hour. I finally reached a rep who told me to take down the blinds and send them in. Really? These blinds are 7 feet high and 10 feet long. When I insisted that they have someone take them down and bring them in they reluctantly agreed and charged me $150.00. After 30 days and no return calls to schedule an appointment by an installer, I started calling again. And yes, another hour to reach an agent. I waited another week and still no call from an installer. My 3rd attempt was the same, an hour on hold and 3 days later still no call from an installer. It has now been over 4 weeks and I still don’t have an appointment to pick up the blinds. I can’t even begin to guess when they will call, let alone pick up the blinds, get them fixed, and return to install them. I did get an automated “no reply” email today apologizing for the delay and blaming Covid and supply chain issues. Oh please!! This is a company that doesn’t care about customer service. I will never use them again and don’t know if I will ever have my very expensive blinds functional. If you don’t believe me, try calling their customer service number for a repair.
