Brent made a point of personally being there for major milestones (for example, to check how well the site was prepared/protected before allowing demo to begin). Something unexpected will always happen when you undertake a major reno. What makes the difference is having a contractor who does not hesitate to address issues, and who doesn’t make you feel like you are being demanding or fussy. We talked a lot over the course of the project and it was clear to us that he takes the same meticulous approach to all of his projects that he did with ours. > > Brent was also very thoughtful, and cared about the impact the reno was having on our day-to-day life—when it became clear the countertop was going to cause a significant delay (but our cabinets were already installed) Brent made sure a temporary plywood counter was installed and had his plumber come in to hook up a temporary faucet and sink for us on the Friday afternoon (before a long weekend, no less!) so that we wouldn't have to keep taking dishes upstairs to wash them in the tub. > > Now that it is finished we are thrilled with the final product. This meant removing all interior walls, studs, closets, flooring, wires, pipes, doors, cabinetry, fixtures, ductwork and HVAC systems. With board approval, we even replaced the balcony sliding doors. It was a massive job with challenging logistics juggling a condo board, condo management, condo neighbours, picky clients, and a downtown job site. We did this project for ourselves; it was not a flip. Working with Brent and his team has been a fantastic and enjoyable experience!
