> Nancy handled the design of our office buildout. She did a magnificent job nailing the feel we wanted our clients and employees to have when in our new office. We get daily collliments on the decor, and the property manager even routinely shows off our spacebtonprospective tenants.

**★★★★★ — Jane Zinkand, May 2017**

> Nancy patiently sat down with me to determine new fabrics for my dining and living rooms. Both rooms were tired and in need of some brightening up. Both rooms open to the pool and I wanted that Florida lifestyle reflected in the colors of the fabrics. Nancy tied the new fabrics into the colors and patterns I have in an inherited oriental rug and artwork; coordinating the dining and living rooms visually with the rest of the home. The patterns we selected use bold color and a mix of pattern to add liveliness to the space. I'll send pics when all the work is done. Cannot wait!

> Nancy helped us make our newly-renovated home perfect in its decor. We moved from the Washington, D.C. area to Florida, and wanted guidance in working our existing furnishings into a "Florida look". Nancy helped us with the master bedroom, selecting bedding, rugs and fabrics for pillows and window treatments. She also designed custom window treatments for the dining room and living room that tied the two rooms together and visually aligned two windows in the living room that were not the same height from the ceiling. Our house now has a new, Florida look that is so comfortable for us.

**★★★★★ — The Wilson's, Dec. 2016**

> Nancy is a creative and practical designer that adapts to her customer's style, home and budget. She solves problems and has resources outside the traditional scope of design. She helped our family in our former condo, then transitioning and growing into our home in Roscoe Village. She struck the right balance for me and my wife while also making the home comfortable for our young son.

> They have done two projects for me. The first was remote: reconstruction and decorating after a flood. The second was in Chicago. Great job managing all the details, including some particular quirks with my large building.

> Thank you, Janet. It's always a pleasure to work with you, whether it's via our Design From Afar services, or in person!

> This is the second project that I have done with Bon Brise Design and I loved the experience and especially the result (again). Nancy saved me tons of time, provided great options and when I did have design ideas she made sure to address my needs immediately with new creative options. No detail is too small for her to make perfect and she is the ultimate professional in how she works with her customers. My new bathroom is now exactly the spa oasis I wanted. A day doesn't go by that I don't think how I love it. Thanks Nancy!

> Thank you Lisa. We so enjoyed working with you again, and are thrilled that you love your new ensuite master bathroom!

> We have worked with Nancy on two different projects (Party of 5 in the West Loop and Family Friendly on Lake Michigan) and we were thrilled with her work on both. What I particularly like about working with Nancy is that she's adaptable--she was more than happy to deal with our willingness to spend on certain items but not on others. She advocated where she thought the extra money was important, but happily helped us purchase accessories from Pier One and bookshelves from Ikea so that we could put our dollars where they mattered most. Both of the projects had challenges that she managed impeccably and both times we had a hard deadline that she met. She was creative, but also responsive to our needs and preferences. I love that she is so much more pragmatic than other artsy-types I've worked with. Just a joy all around! Thanks, Nancy!

> Bobbi - Thank you for your kind words! So enjoyed working with you and David as well.

> Bonne Brise was fantastic! Nancy handled everything and helped me to create a wonderful bathroom renovation which stayed true to the look and feel of my 1920's vintage high rise condo building along Chicago's lakefront. Subway tiles, paneled wainscoting, hexagonal floor tiles, gorgeous over-the-top (but well worth it for the efficiency) sink with chrome base and glass shelf.
>
> I would highly recommend Bonne Brise. Normally I have done 100% of all the design work and acted as GC for my kitchen renovation and other projects in many of the homes I have had. I simply did not have the time and decided to trust Nancy. best decision I have ever made. The money spent was well worth it to get the best products and contractor at affordable prices. In the end, she paid for her fee by the money she saved me.

> I've photographed numerous interior design projects for Nancy. She combines her excellent attention to detail and intuitive design skills to help her clients visualize the final results. She goes the extra step, providing collaborative, one-to-one service that help put her customers at ease when a project may disrupt their home or office for several weeks.
>
> Her passion for what she does is evident while working with her during a recent two day location shoot. Nancy is great to work with and focused on providing the highest quality work possible for her clients.

> Nancy with Bon Brise Design was a joy to work with. I live in a small space that was not being used to it's fullest, and was a bit dated. Nancy came over, listened to what I liked and what I could afford to do, and provided me with several recommendations and options. She took time to understand my personal tastes and we ended up with a series of rooms that are more comfortable, stylish, and usable! When I am ready to tackle the next room I will certainly call Nancy at Bon Brise!

> We have worked with Bon Brise Design for several years. I was impressed with Nancy's sense of style. She has a talent for matching furniture and understanding how the overall design coordinates - all with an eye towards maintaining the budget. Her project management skills are excellent and she has a good sense of the sequence in which activities should happen. She is a pleasure to work with.

> Nancy was invaluable in helping modify the layout of the new office space, as well as designing and selecting all furnishings to fit the space, and coordinating with contractors to ensure the furniture would fit perfectly in the space. She delivered an office appearance that makes talented individuals want to work here, and clients want to hire us. It's perfect!

 - Description: Nancy Snyder of Bon Brise Design, completed this fabulous interior for clients located in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago. When their children were college bound, the clients were ready to down-size from a multi-story home in the city to a new top-floor condo and wanted a lively, contemporary vibe in their new space. Nancy did just this for her clients; with an eye-popping and unconventional twist, the interior speaks for itself. The jumping off point for this inspired interior was a contem…

 - Description: This home on the Wisconsin shore of Lake Michigan offered a beautiful view, but needed TLC on the inside. Using our Design from Afar services, our clients hired Bon Brise to transform awkward room layouts into spaces that could work with their active lifestyle. Not only did they need to accommodate themselves and three young children, they also wanted to easily host gatherings for their extended family. Using photos and Facetime, and working with dimensions provided by our clients, we developed…

 - Description: With a need to organize and rejuvenate, our client looked to Bon Brise to define a new look throughout his Chicago lakefront condo. Our client wanted a space that featured his favorite color, blue, used several pieces of furniture inherited from his parents, and made the most of art and mementos collecting during his travels. Starting with this, Bon Brise designed a space to work with our client’s lifestyle. We determined the best new layout of the condo, which involved moving and removing walls…

 - Description: The homeowner of this vintage condo wanted an update for her bathroom, but was keen on maintaining the 1920’s feel. Bon Brise jumped to action with a design that incorporated classic fixtures and tiles, renewing the bath with a bright and breezy look that played to the homeowner’s lifelong love of boating. We started with a room that still had all of its original tile and most of its original fixtures, down to the body sprays that were part of the shower. We re-surfaced the existing tub and re-c…

 - Description: The Gallery Lofts is a 1920s furniture warehouse, now converted into luxury loft condos. Each unit is unique, with exposed infrastructure and layouts differing from unit to unit. Prior to our design, the common spaces—encompassing the lobby and elevator, as well as the stairwell and halls of each floor—lacked character and color. Our goal was to elevate these spaces to reflect the exceptional character of these high-end lofts located in a prime location. Our design concept was inspired by the na…

Our clients looked to us to create a bathroom with as much storage as possible and a spa-like feel. To further complicate our design plans, a mysterious soffit running the length of the bathroom proved to cover a structurally non-negotiable beam. - Description: A new kitchen was the dream for this single, working mother, one with more storage options & room for her 12 yr old to hang out or do homework in the evening. The home, a 1920’s condominium, had retained the original layout of the day: formal foyer, living & dining rooms. The main entrance to the kitchen was through the maid’s room which had long been converted into an office, but the entry to the kitchen was still awkward, while the formal dining room remained largely under-utilized. ## Community Q&A

**Q: re Photo on Bath Vanity showing a small wooden holder for liquid** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where can I purchase a small wooden holder t hold liquid soap and small hand towel on bathroom vanity, shown on bath photos?

A: Hello and thank you for reaching out. We don't have these items on the vanity in that photo. But I'd imagine a good place to look would be Bed, Bath & Beyond. They carrry fingertip towels and liquid soap dispensers.

**Q: Love this dresser! Where is it from? Thanks!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Rene, and thanks for reaching out. The dresser and bookcase are by Romina, the Ventianni Collection.

**Q: I think I just made the worst mistake! help!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I just had my wallpaper installed, and I ABSOLUTELY hate it! Too much going on, right?! what can I do to fix this? If it's even fixable! New furniture?! I know, what was I thinking!

A: Unfortunately, we agree that the floral of the wallcovering
is a miss. The tones in the drapery, floor, paint, and your furniture all work
together, but the floral print isn’t eclectic enough to work and not really
bold enough to make a statement. We’d recommend giving up on the wallcovering and
painting over it in a darker beige that coordinates with the drapery and
chairs. We know deciding to change the wallcovering is frustrating since it’s
freshly done, but it’s better to fix it and be done with it. Trying to change
the rest of your room to fit this part of will just end up being more expensive
for you. If you decide you do love it and want to keep it, however, the easiest
way to tie it to the rest of your space will be to reupholster your dining
chairs in a larger floral pattern that coordinates with that of the wallcovering. Good luck with your space!

**Q: Need help with my bedroom!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Need help with my bedroom! I just had shutters installed in my bedroom. Now where I use to have my nightstand is in a terrible place because I can't open the shutters to clean windows etc. please help me to figure how to rearrange this bedroom if it's at all possible. I really would love to get a new bedroom set, but it's not in the cards right now. I also have to figure out what to do above the bed. The room is fairly small, so I don't want it to look smaller. Any input, would greatly be appreciated. Here are pics from left to right.

A: B--Jogging Path seems too beige. I would go with tones that have more grey component...trust us, it will bring out the greys in that granite and will update the room.

**Q: What Kind of tile is that on the fireplace wall? Gorgeous!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi. This is a tile from Porcelanosa. We were so pleased with the organic feeling of movement that it introduced to the very contemporary space.

**Q: Too much tan!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My living room has not turned out to be really anything I wanted. Everything is tan! I really thought I could have a nice neutral space but it feels ugly. Painting and new furniture are not an option I just don't know what to do to make it look updated and new. Our pieces are decent, but there is one chair I regret buying. It's not all put together mainly because I just can't figure out what looks good.

A: Firstly, the best change you can make will be to your layout! Try something like this: We understand you may not love the idea of your sofa in front of your window, but at least give it a try and see the difference it makes to the flow and feeling of your whole room.

We love the suggestion to continue bringing in blue throughout your space--patterned pillows are a great way to do this. Your drapes should also be hung closer to the ceiling. Try to avoid sheer or lace fabric for them, purchase something a bit more substantive.

If you can afford to purchase a new rug, we recommend finding something with a mild pattern, closer to what's in the inspiration photo you shared.

Good luck!
