> The only 2 reviews for New Leaf Builders are nearly 10 years old. We were building a home on the Ashley River that we were told would take about a year to complete. It took nearly 2 years and in that time, New Leaf was unresponsive and inefficient. There were going to be about 40 homes to be built by New Leaf, but the developer was so disappointed in them that he fired them halfway through the project, but needed them to finish building the projects they had already started - which included our home. To talk to New Leaf was to be lied to or ignored altogether. We ended up hiring our own plumbers, electricians, painters and handymen to complete the shoddy jobs New Leaf left us with. Still, nearly two months after we have moved in, we are still waiting on about a dozen items on our punch list to be completed. Unfortunately, these are things we can't hire out for; we have paid New Leaf for them and need them to finish. We get no response from anyone at New Leaf and while the framing and the structural integrity of our home is great - as far as we know - the problem is the vendors that New Leaf hires to do the rest of the work. The painters were sloppy, the plumbers unprofessional and I don't think the electricians had any idea about how to wire anything. We still have switches that turn on and off and do nothing. Hiring New Leaf is hiring headaches and frustration.

> We built a home with New Leaf over the last year. The design team did a great job but the delivery was slow even by pandemic standards and work well below par. The pictures show the inferior drywall, and trim work. We have gaps in flooring as well. The micro/oven that was supposedly ordered is still not available so we have a craigslists stove ... no one has attempted to help resolve the issue. I've tried to be patient 60 days after move in but their service is truly awful.
> Did I mention our sewer backup into our shower and our upstairs shower leaking to our first floor in the first week? PTSD has me trying to blackout that experience.
> If you find a New Leaf build have it inspected by at least 2 professionals. If you like it after that, sure it will be fine. Would I trust them to build something for me .... no way. Find a company with a better collection of subcontractors to delivery on your plans.

> I am a custom home designer and have been working with New Leaf for several years. I recommend them without hesitation to my clients because they are a wonderful company to work with. They build an excellent product and I know each client I send their way will be absolutely thrilled with the finished product. When you meet these guys you will realize very quickly their ability to pay close attention to detail and you will walk away with not only superior finished product, but new friends as well.

> We selected Grant Zinkon with New Leaf Builders to build our new home based on recommendations from his customers and the well documented and detailed proposal he submitted for construction. The entire construction process went smoothly and he did a good job of accommodating our change orders and communicating with us. His subcontractors were all professional, but best of all was his trim carpenter, Antonio, who did a beautiful job of trimming out the interior of the house, particularly the staircase and the fireplace mantle and surround. We have been in our house for ten months and have no regrets. We would definitely use Grant again and recommend him to others.
