> I been working with Julianna from Dwell Candy to decorate my home. I wanted to keep the pieces I had in some areas and augment them to update the overall look. Julianna is amazing to work with! She was able to work within a lot of constraints (like no fabric in the home due to allergy issues) and able to come up with a cohesive beautiful design. We started with just the guest and master bedroom and now are working on the living room, dining room and entryway. I love Dwell Candy's model where they offer customized assistance (just design, including sourcing, full installation) instead of an expensive approach where you end up paying thousands of dollars for just the design.

> After my fiance and I bought a new home in Walnut Creek, we wanted to completely upgrade our Ikea furniture and decor with the help of a designer. So we shopped around for designers in the bay area, but everyone was so expensive! Given the home purchase, we were a little cash poor and didn't want to end up paying $10k+ just for the designer (excluding any furniture).
>
> Fortunately, we learned about Dwell Candy. We love their online model! As opposed to charging by the hour, they charge a fixed fee per room. $300 per room for a junior designer and $500 per room for a senior designer. We chose the senior designer package and had them design 3 rooms: Our living room, dining room, and master bedroom. And, we're so happy we did!
>
> The first step was to answer a long questionnaire about our preferences and tastes. This included links to Houzz Ideabooks and Pinterest Boards that we both liked. In return, they sent us mood boards and vision pieces for our living room from three different designers. We then chose the designer (Julianna) that best matched our sense of style and design aesthetic -- contemporary, bold, stylish, and sophisticated. From there, we worked closely with Fahm (CEO/Project Manager) and Julianna (Designer) to complete the three designs.
>
> We've now ordered and received most of the furniture, and we're loving the look of our new place! We just had family over for Mother's Day, and we received tons of compliments.
>
> Thanks Fahm and Julianna!!

> It has been an all around great experience working with Dwell Candy. Fahm and Jimmy are a pleasure to work with - very professional, friendly, and always striving to make Dwell Candy better and better. I've worked on both Online Interior Design and Hourly Interior Design Projects for Dwell Candy clients. They have all gone very smoothly thanks to Fahm and Jimmy facilitating between the designers and clients so well. My first goal in any project is to give my clients a design that they love, and that showcases the best possible version of their own individual style. I know that Fahm and Jimmy feel the same way - making the clients happy is their first priority.
>
> I believe that good design should be accessible to everyone. I know that Dwell Candy shares this philosophy. Their Online Design services are such a great way to work with a professional interior designer, but on a smaller budget than traditional design services.
>
> I can't say enough great things about this company. It is a pleasure to work as one of their designers.

> Dwell Candy is so great to work with! I purchased a new home and needed help mixing my existing furniture with some new furnishings and accessories to complete the space. I ended up working with Lauren for my living room, dining room, office and master bedroom. She was quick and responsive and incorporated my preferences into the final design. I'm very happy with Lauren's design, and I would highly recommend Dwell Candy!

> Its been a pleasure working for Dwell Candy as an In-Home Designer. From the initial design consultation meetings with clients to finalizing off the project, they provide an easy, simple way of giving the client the best of what we have to offer.
>
> I love having a different range of clients, spaces and design challenges that makes designing that much more gratifying.

**★★★★★ — Payal Desai Designs, June 2014**

> I truly enjoy working with Dwell Candy as a designer. They provide an excellent service to their clients that is efficient and well managed. The communication that is provided to the designers is excellent which in turn gives the designer an accurate scope of work. They really do love their clients and are terrific at what they do!

> Short version: Dwell Candy rocks; helped me define a style and navigate the overwhelming choices for how to setup a living space!
>
> Longer version: I found out about Dwell Candy through a friend who referred me to the company. I'd just moved into a beautiful, old Victorian and needed to furnish my master bedroom from scratch. The room is large, about 450 square feet, so there's a lot of space to play with. Dwell Candy helped me define my style (which turned out to be rustic, contemporary, industrial), and hooked me up with a designer, Joy, who went above and beyond to create a detailed room layout and purchase list. Working with Joy and Dwell Candy saved me a huge amount of time, stay within budget, and create a living space that I'm excited to share with friends. Great Value, Highly recommended!

> I found Dwell Candy when I signed a lease for a 2-bedroom condo in SOMA and wanted help furnishing it. I was living in another condo in SOMA at the time, where most of my furniture was from IKEA. I wanted to start over and have a nice place where my friends could come over, have a few drinks and hang out. I talked to Fahm and explained to her what I was looking for, my modern/clean style, what I wanted to spend... she matched me to Payal, who was great! Payal understood what I wanted, worked within my timeline, helped me source what I needed, and even found items that I liked better than the ones I found on my own. I wanted art on the walls, so I found a place to rent them, and she helped me pick out the pieces. Once everything was delivered, she came over to put it all together and made my place look amazing.
>
> I've received a lot of compliments about my place, and I enjoy having friends over. I'll definitely hire Dwell Candy again when I buy a home!

> I used Dwell Candy to design my new alcove apartment in Minneapolis. Dwell Candy was patient, attentive, and very efficient throughout the process. The designers customized their recommendations to my needs for storage in a small space, as well as to my desire for a modern feminine look. I was amazed by how well the recommended furniture and color palettes matched my preferences! Dwell Candy was also able to help me compile a list of furniture and accessories that met my budget of $3500 for the entire apartment. More importantly, Dwell Candy never imposed its designs and layouts on me. They were open to adjusting the designs until I was satisfied with the final outcome. I can't express how much I love my new apartment! Thanks Dwell Candy!

> I hired Dwell Candy to help organize my photo studio. I had a bunch of stuff in there I stored, there was my partner's stuff, and there was also stuff from the previous owner. The place was a mess, but Dwell Candy came and helped us figure out what to keep and what to donate.
>
> They helped us arrange a seating area for clients, created a make-up counter from stuff we had, and gave us design suggestions too.
>
> They also helped me paint the place. It's now bright and light, and helps with the photography tremendously.
>
> I can't thank them enough. Is there an option for 10 stars because they deserve way more than 5.
>
> Thanks for the designing lessons and enlightenment !

> Dwell Candy is one of those things I never knew I needed but now I can't live without. My tiny condo felt even smaller because (now that I've talked to people who are experts in this I know these things) I packed my living/office/dining room with tall bookcases to make it feel bigger but they actually made it feel more cramped. They convinced me to get rid of them and helped me narrow down what I needed and get rid of stuff I kept for no good reason. My place is amazing now!
>
> The three designs were all really good. I had a hard time narrowing it down, but ultimately chose the one that gave me the most space. It was a great decision. I can't believe that they got me a larger dining table, a bigger couch, kept my desk, and the room still feels 10 times larger. I had 4 people over once about a year ago and it was really cramped in here. Last weekend I had 6 for dinner and it totally worked! I love having people over and showing off my condo now. I can't thank you enough. I don't want to move out of my amazing place, but if I do I'm definitely having you do my whole place next time.

**Q: Moving house survival tips** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Right now, I am in the middle of moving house, so the next fortnight is set to be the most chaotic of my life thus far. Let me know your tricks for packing, unpacking and surviving the whole horrific process. Thanks!

A: Moving can be a great time to recycle or sell items you may not need at the new house. It'll lighten the load and make space at the new home. You can also move very delicate/valuable items in your own car as well.
