It was a reasonably complex construction project with a small addition and the removal of interior walls. We replaced the old kitchen, family room and dining room with an open plan great room. The project management was excellent with weekly meetings held on site or at their office. The site management was also excellent with the foreman being present most days, supervising and doing some of the construction too. > > During the construction they took good care of the existing house, protecting the floors and exterior pathways. We stayed in the house during the building work and they installed an effective temporary doorway to keep the living quarters clean and dry. They even helped us install the laundry facilities in the garage, something not originally planned for. > > Eagle Peak has a small team of professionals who are mainly framers and finish carpenters, so they subcontract out the major construction tasks. The subcontractors they use are really good, especially the framers, electricians, plumbers and dry-wall people. The Eagle Peak employees did most of the finish work, installing the kitchen and laundry room. It looks great. > > The project was on time and almost on budget. There were minor problems encountered but they were dealt with quickly and efficiently. I think we ended up with 5 or 6 unexpected change orders, mostly due to oversights in the contract the neither us or Eagle Peak caught at the time. > > We still have a good relationship with Thomas, who visited us last week to check on things and see the new deck we built.
