> I knew I wanted soapstone for my kitchen project, and Vermont Soapstone didn’t flinch at booking an installation in Maine. A crew of four spent the day in my driveway crafting my countertops, and they are fantastic at their jobs. I had made the drive to Perkinsville to pick my slabs, and it helped me to decide on my edge profile and other details. The office staff was great to work with, too. Everyone that has come in since has commented on the counters, and my contractor was amazed at the price. Beautiful counters with gorgeous veining, once waxed even some hints of green which I was hoping for! Worth every penny!

**★★★★★ — Susan Rayne, March 2019**

> Easy peasy. Take a scenic drive up to their location in Vermont and pick out your slabs, with a lot of helpful suggestions from their expert staff. Schedule your installation, and your slabs (and in my case, my apron and prep sinks) arrive at your home to be cut to your specifications. My sinks, counters, and spectacular ceiling height slab behind the stove and chimney hood are gorgeous and the seams cannot be found, even by me. Follow their instructions on oiling, and you will be as ecstatic with your result as I am with mine. A fair price, and worth every penny.

**★★★★★ — M Miller, Aug. 2018**

> Vermont Soapstone was very easy to work with and provided an exceptional product. All of my patterns came out as profiled and the sink was perfect. One way I saved money was to find my own shipping carrier, and have it shipped to my place of work. This only works if you have a forklift at your place of business, or your pieces of soapstone aren't too large.

**★★★★★ — Leslie Hubbard, July 2018**

> Great company to deal with! Very helpful through the beginning process, arrived at their schedule time and the installers were very polite, neat and did an excellent job installing my kitchen, pantry and vanity countertops. I highly recommend them.

**Comment from Vermont Soapstone Co:**

> Glad to here you had such a good experience, and thank you for sharing Leslie!

> The workmanship and stone is the finest quality. Beyond that, the employees of this company take time to talk to the customer, answer questions, and give knowledgeable advice in a friendly, old fashioned way.. Customer satisfaction is a priority.

**★★★★★ — User, March 2014**

> The day the kitchen sink and counters were installed was the most fun day of the entire remodel project! And now that I have been living with the result of their work for half a year, I am even more madly in love!
>
> I visited dealers in four states before choosing Vermont Soapstone. These were the only people who told me they visit the quarries personally to check on the quality of the stone as well as the quarry practices. As former quarry operators, they know what matters. In addition, they offered me the quickest installation date and the lowest cost.
>
> Unlike most counter installers, they do not make a template and take it back to the shop to fabricate. Although the sink is fabricated in their shop, when they install the counters, they drive the slabs you picked out right to your house, set up a saw in the yard, measure, cut, and install right then and there.

> Five stars? I'd give them ten if i could.
