I love to create furniture that people will cherish today and pass on to loved ones for generations to come.  Unique & creative designs are my forte’…such as an end table that transforms for a game of chess, backgammon, or Scrabble with a turn of its rotating cube.  Clients often seek one-of-a-kind pieces, such as the man who wanted a tall desk tailored to his height, where he would stand for his daily reading & writing…with a special place for his coffee mug.  Wood veneers are my primary medium.  They provide an environmentally sustainable palette of the world’s finest woods, so that mappa burl’s amazing grain can become the focus of a stunning coffee table.  My work often features the lost art of hand-cut marquetry, as used to decorate an elegant ebony writing desk.  The greatest satisfaction comes from projects that showcase great design and craftsmanship to become a home’s centerpiece, such as an elegant table with marquetry that reflects the tranquility of a koi pond.
