Please help me in my partial kitchen remodel. We just got stainless steel appliances. The microwave is sitting on counter till new cabinet comes in that with house it. The spindles will be replaced with crown. We hate the cabinet color but not wanting to have them painted mainly due to the $7,000 price tag and too many projects to do, also not our forever home. Flooring will stay also, sadly but it’s neutral enough with off white, gray & brown tones. Looking to replace: Counters, backsplash, hardware, sink and lighting and of course paint. We are taking out the large peninsula so we can have a large kitchen table instead. The island would double in size. In my 25 years of homeownership, I’ve always had white cabinets because I like clean, simple look. I don’t want a country or Tuscan look or anything that will bring out the orange in the cabinets. The cabinets are solid maple, very good condition. Lots of brown and gray in them too. I’m leaning towards quartz, maybe Polaris Blanc Orion, Cashmere Carrara MSI, Minuet, Torquay. He also is going to take out the slider shower doors and Install glass door to avoid hitting his head on the rail and to avoid such a high lip to step to get in the shower.Also next to the shower is a wall with a jacuzzi behind it. What do you think about replacing the wall with the same type of glass we would get for the door? He said the increased size of the shower would be 48”x48” so we are moving the size forward to where the wall stops. I am working on removing the wallpaper, and originally thought white backsplash and paint would be the way to go, but once the white wall was revealed beneath the wallpaper, I didn't like the look of white with the cabinets. I don't plan on painting the cabinets or replace the countertops at this point. Any ideas for what color would look good with this stain on the cabinets, and what hardware would make it look more modern?
