A: This console table was purchased at GDC Home - a local Charleston, SC home furnishings store. **Q: My kitchen makes me cry. Please help!** *(in Design Dilemma)* We are renting and the house has a lovely feel, but the kitchen is ... well look at the photos. I love cooking, and believe that the kitchen is the heart of the home, but this heart is breaking. Please send ideas. Do you think I should take the doors off and put them back when we go. I have some beautiful blue-grey paint - should I paint the cupboards blue-grey, the tops white, and replace the handles? The wall tiles are pinkish - I thought of painting them white. The floor tiles are as you see them. Not much I can do about those. The landlord has said I can paint. A: If you paint the cabinets a shade of gray with green (vs blue) undertones, the pink will read more beige....changing the handles will help, too. You can also add interest and distraction to the wall between the upper and lower cabinets by displaying a colorful platter on a plate stand or hooks to add an element of your taste in the space... **Q: Need a Benjamin Moore paint suggestion for a basement.** *(in Design Dilemma)* I'll attach photos soon. I'm painting our basement. There's only one large egress window and it has southern exposure. I'm thinking neutrals and prefer whites to beige or gray. Other than the children's bedrooms my house is bright white and I love it but am concerned about a bright white in the basement. A: Love Benjamin Moore Timid White OC 39... **Q: Help with exterior color!** *(in Design Dilemma)* I have a classic Vermont farmhouse with a fairly new reddish orange standing seem roof. The house needs a new paint job next summer. As of now the exterior is yellow with white trim and attached red barn/garage. I'm just not a big fan of the yellow and would like to steer away from white since every other house in our tiny town is white. Any ideas? A: Exterior version of Benjamin Moore HC 102 Clarksville gray or HC 101 Hampshire gray with HC 100 Gloucester Sage shutters would look nice with the red roof and current warm white trim... --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
