## Community Q&A

**Q: length of wall** *(in Photo Questions)*

how long is the wall with all the applicances? I have 92 inches to work with.

A: It's more than 10 feet (I think it was 10'-3" or so).

**Q: How does that sink work with the dishwasher???** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: @Harding Construction:  As the designer of this home and an occupant here (my live/work studio is on the lower level), again, I assure you that it is real, as I frequently use it (and have run across similar models in condos while traveling).  As I mentioned previously, the rear half of the top rack of the dishwasher is very shallow (I use it to lay utensils flat) - this is below the drains.  And of course a disposal would never work with this configuration.

@johnr1lee:  The sink is a GE Spacemaker \#GPF-97 (http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/GPF97.html) and the dishwasher is a companion GE Spacemaker akin to this: http://products.geappliances.com/ApplProducts/Dispatcher?REQUEST=SpecPage&Sku=GSM2100GCC.
You'll see that both are discontinued, but there might be other newer models, as this project was completed in 2010.

A: Sorry for the slow response!  It's just 6" tongue and groove decking that's been painted.  Thanks!

A: Aw, thanks!

The room feels great - a good sense of spaciousness (even with lower than average ceilings at 7ft.).  I expect that you'll be fine with a 36" shower pan.  There are only a couple inches between the shower and the vanity here.  I think his vanity is about 36" wide (and you might have chosen a smaller vanity).
