> Susan lead a project in our home to update our living room, breakfast nook, dining room and foyer. Working with Susan was a fantastic experience. We are thrilled with the finished project. Susan successfully incorporated mine and my husband's tastes. I was particularly pleased with how Susan asked for detailed input on certain decisions/purchases but left other less significant items were happy surprises during "reveal day." Thanks for all your help Susan!

**Comment from Legacy Residential Interiors:**

> Thank you so much for trusting me to decorate your beautiful home. It was such a pleasure working with you! I am glad to know that you are enjoying your updated spaces. I look forward to helping you again!

> I highly recommend Legacy Residential Interiors! I've worked with Susan twice now and the results exceeded my expectations. She took time to understand what we wanted, proposed a detailed budget, adjusted it to our needs, and stuck to it. The rooms she designed are gorgeous and make me happy every time I enter them. She most recently did our daughters' room for their birthdays. The room is now pretty, functional, practical and comfortable. She even gifted them jewelry boxes which was a sweet, extra touch. Can't wait to work with her again!

> We hired Susan to transform our main level into what I called "a grown-up house." Before we met Susan, we had a mish-mash of new furniture and what my husband and I had pieced together from the homes we had before we married. We couldn't be happier with the result of Susan's expert eye for fabric and decor. Small touches like a larger table and curtains in our kitchen made a huge difference. Our dining room went from dark and drab to light and elegant. And our living room seemed to grow larger on Susan's advice of putting down a larger rug. I think my husband hears me say at least once a day, "I love our house." What Susan did for us made it the grown-up home I envisioned.
> Our experience working with Susan has been among the best home projects we've had. She is extremely organized, communicative and flexible to her clients. Her top priority is making her clients happy and it comes through in every conversation with her. I would highly, highly recommend Susan, and I look forward to working with her in the future on transforming our master bedroom and bath!

**Comment from Legacy Residential Interiors:**

> Hiring a professional was something I had always wanted to do. I'm so glad I chose Susan and her team! They were wonderful to work with. Susan took the time to get to know me so that the design reflects my wants and needs. She shared her design insights and added a personalized touch to create amazing beautiful rooms!

**Comment from Legacy Residential Interiors:**

**★★★★★ — Julie Riley, Feb. 2018**

> First off, we highly recommend Susan and Cheryl of Legacy Residential Interiors.
> We were looking for professional assistance to tackle the job of redecorating our family room. We wanted to make a wholesale change in our furniture and color pattern, but we needed guidance.
> I found Legacy listed here on Houzz and contacted them. From the moment Susan called me in response, I could feel her passion for service as she described the approach that she and Cheryl used to get the best results for their clients. They helped us decide on the right style for us as they presented ideas and options for layout, colors, furniture, fabrics and accessories.
> The results blew us away in the "big reveal" of the final version of our room which they took from a dark, outdated room to a beautiful, light and inviting living space.
> They did an amazing job of working in some of our cherished personal items.
> We totally recommend them with high confidence and plan to call on them for more in the future.

**Comment from Legacy Residential Interiors:**

> Legacy Residential Interiors recently completed a total renovation of our Music Room/Library, Dining Area, and Living Area. Working with Cheryl Daniel and Susan Campbell was a dream! These savvy professionals brought my outdated areas into the 21st Century in the warm, calm, and welcoming style that I desired. I was thrilled that they were able to incorporate some of my family heirlooms into the project. Cheryl and Susan thought of everything and provided a perfect product on time and on budget. Their sense of style and their ability to perfectly deliver on my wish list was extraordinary!

**Comment from Legacy Residential Interiors:**

> Susan and Cheryl did an outstanding job redecorating my living area and dining room. They have exquisite taste and really know how to pull a room together. Watching them work together was fun! They listened to my feedback and pulled in beautiful pieces every step of the way.

**★★★★★ — janicebarrocas, June 2017**

> Our mid-century modern home has never looked so good. Susan developed a vision for beautifying the space within our budget. By introducing a new color scheme we LOVE along with window treatments, lamps, new side tables, and a gorgeous hanging fixture over the dining room table the room was transformed! Two new custom size rugs actually made the room feel larger. Susan is a delight to work with and I would definitely recommend her to a friend.

**★★★★★ — Rhonda Schweber, April 2017**

> What a pleasant experience I had working with Susan! I recently downsized from a big traditional home into a townhouse. I only kept one piece of furniture and my artwork. I was so unhappy in my new place, until I hired Susan to decorate my living room. From our first meeting she was so enthusiastic and promised me that she could transform my living space - and that she did! She spent time showing me ideas and finding out what I like. She really "got me"! I did not have a huge budget. The entire process she was very cognizant of my budget. I gave her carte blance since I was overwhelmed making decisions. When I walked in after the install, I was blown away. (like an episode of Love It or List It:) Susan was spot on with color, scale and making that room inviting and comfortable. Now I can't wait for her to wow me with the master bedroom!

**Comment from Legacy Residential Interiors:**

> Thank you for trusting us to help you decorate your new townhouse. We are so happy to know that you are loving your newly updated living room. We love it, too! The room really came to life! Can't wait to work with you again!

**★★★★★ — Bree Roe, Nov. 2016**

> What can I say about the ladies at Legacy Residential Interiors? I had never hired a decorator before and didn't know where to begin after we purchased our new home. I tried doing a few things myself, but nothing was coming together in a way that made me excited to invite company over or truly feel at home. Thankfully I found Susan and Cheryl on Houzz and they completely transformed my home into a beautiful show-stopper! Not only were they extremely patient in letting me pour over 100s of different fabric samples, but they also really took the time to understand my families needs and overall vision for the space. They incorporated my ideas, a few existing furniture pieces, and took it all to the next level. The end result is truly breath-taking but also completely functional for a family of 5, plus pets. I have already recommended them to several friends and won't hesitate to use them for future projects!

**Comment from Legacy Residential Interiors:**

> Thank you so much! It was such a pleasure working with you! Thank you for trusting us with this project!

**★★★★★ — kimberliehall, Sept. 2016**

> After buying and renovating a 1967 house last year, I was ready to start decorating and wanted new colors. I didn’t know where to begin, so I hired Susan and Cheryl to help me. Having seen their projects both in pictures and in person, I knew that they would do a great job! I told them the colors I liked and the pieces that I still wanted to use. They came up with a plan for all the rooms I wanted to decorate, and, due to budget constraints, allowed me to implement in a phased approach. After shopping together for a new sofa and swivel chairs, Susan and Cheryl did the rest! Phases 1 and 2 transformed my kitchen, den, living room, and dining room into a gorgeous living space that I still can’t believe is mine! I love seeing my special pieces blended in so nicely with all the new pieces they picked out. They are so talented! I can hardly wait for the next phase – my bedroom!

**Comment from Legacy Residential Interiors:**

> We really enjoyed working with you! So glad you and this cutie are enjoying your newly decorated spaces!

After the project was completed, the homeowner brought us in to furnish and decorate the now fully open space in a way that was cohesive and functional. The owner's green settee was the basis for the color palette that we used. We created separate living, dining, and family room areas within t…

They had enjoyed their traditional palette of gold, red, and green, but were ready for a change. We lightened the walls and introduced the soft and restful colors of blue, brown, and ivory. Even in the rooms where much of the original furniture remained, we updated the spaces with new draperies, lighting, art, and accessories. These BEFORE and AFTER pictures highlight the transf…

  - Description: This beautiful home is walking distance from Atlanta's popular Ponce City Market. The homeowners had lived here a few years, but never had an opportunity to update the decor in a way that would make the home's interior more cohesive and inviting. Most of the homeowners' existing furniture had to stay -- including the dining table and china cabinet inherited from a grandmother and the living room furniture and the breakfast room table. We added window treatments, rugs, lamps and chandeliers, art,…

These homeowners selected upholstered recliners for their TV chairs. We redecorated this space, starting with the recliners that the clients purchased and the other pieces they wanted to reuse. Then we selected new fabrics, draperies, furnishings, art, lamps, and accessories to give the room a fresh updated look.…

They placed the furniture they already owned and purchased a few new pieces, but were still having a hard time creating a cohesive 'finished' look in the spaces. We built on their existing color palette of blues, reds, and corals to fill in the gaps with additional furniture pieces and new accessories, window treatments, and lighting. The house had great features and great potential, but the interior was boring and bland. Some of the pieces (including most of the great room furniture) had to stay and be incorporated into the new design. The homeowners didn't have a strong sense of what they wanted. The only guidance we got was from the wife's statement, "I kind of like red". Not much to go on, but RED woul…

  - Description: This home was stylishly decorated in the early 1990's, but the homeowners were ready to update the furnishings and the color palette. We shifted from a palette of red, gold, and green to one of beige, brown, and indigo blue. The living room was completely transformed - all furniture, accessories, draperies, and lighting are new. However, most of the existing furniture in both the dining room and keeping room remains in the updated spaces. Using indigo blue as the unifying color throughout the ma…

  - Description: This homeowner knew she needed to update her decor and color palette, but didn't know where to start. First we removed the dark draperies and lightened the wall color with Sherwin-Williams Accessible Beige. No more family photographs on the walls. No more small-scale golden oak furniture. We purchased a stripped antique French buffet and a painted mirror to go above it. We flanked the mirror with a pair of iron lamps with linen shades. We purchased an antique iron dining table base and had a new…

  - Description: This large bonus room with knee walls and a single window is above a 3-car garage. The family wanted this area to function both a bedroom and a living/tv area. Our solution to this challenge was to install a hanging room partition and place the headboard on the window side of the partition and the arrange 'living room' on the other side. The bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, nightstand, and desk. The living room side has a sofa, a sleeper sofa (for guests), coffee table, two end tables, and medi…

  - Location: Marietta, GA

  - Description: These clients recently purchased a home that had freshly painted gold walls throughout, floor-length tie-back gold draperies, and dining room wallpaper. The clients' existing furniture did fit right in (a solid gold sofa and burgundy and gold striped chairs), but it was tired and dated. Most of the clients' existing furniture had to remain, as did the gold paint and wallpaper. So our first step was to update the room's color palette. We took it from dated gold and burgundy to a fresh new palette…

## Community Q&A

**Q: Paint Color in Kitchen** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you advise what paint color is used in the kitchen?

A: Thank you for your interest in this kitchen. The wall color is Sherwin-Williams Crushed Ice. The cabinets are a factory-finished pure white. I hope this information is helpful to you.

**Q: Super cute! Where are the canvases from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Fox Canvas

A: Hi, Deidra. So glad to hear that you like this room! I found these cute woodland prints on greatbigcanvas.com

**Q: Love the drapes and pillow shams** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi! I love the curtains and pillow shams. Where were those purchased? Thanks!

A: Hello, Stephanie. It is so nice to hear that you like this bedroom. These draperies and pillow shams were custom made for this client. If you would like more details about the fabric that was used, please send me a message through Houzz. Thank you!

**Q: room dimensions** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you advise the room dimensions

A: Hello. Thanks for your interest in this room. This is a bonus room above a garage. The window wall (headboard wall) is 11.5 feet wide. The window is approximately 3 feet wide. The length of the room is 18 feet.

**Q: Who is the artist (or source) for the painting over the bed? Nice!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This piece was actually painted by the homeowner for her personal use in this room. It is somewhat similar to \[this piece\[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/kerri-rosenthal-art-transitional-new-york-phvw-vp~7856251) by artist Kerri Rosenthal.

**Q: The paint colors are lovely. Could you share what they are?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for your interest in this project. This homeowner had already chosen this paint color and had the walls painted before this project began, so, unfortunately, we don't have the information about wall colors.
