He came over with a great, professional estimate and we talked through specifics of the job. I asked for some contract changes and willingly handed over a check for several thousand dollars to cover the deposit in good faith. He emailed me an updated contract and cashed my check, and we continued making selections, all within the agreed-upon timeframes for a project to being on 3/2/20. Today, on 2/21/20, he emailed me to let me know he was backing out of the job. He said he would return my deposit, though he felt like he was entitled to it for "project management" done to-date. No work has been done. I feel like I'm very lucky to be getting out of this with a refund, but PLEASE consider my experience when considering using his services. Our business decision to terminate this bathroom remodel project prior to it starting was due to a growing sense that this project was heading in the direction of a disappointing “client-contractor relationship”. It took a bit to find my notes. The floor tile is VM Captiva – Sterling – 13x13 (VMCAPST13). The shower wall is IC Concrete – Light Gray – (COCELGR1224). The inside of the cubby is Bamboo Saturn Multi-size (ARBAMSAM12G). The grout is TEC 915 Light Smoke. **Q: did you paint the cabinets or were they purchased that way?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Morning Danny -- We have a good friend that does cabinet and furniture refinishing. Her and I do a kitchen work together. Look her up on FB - Third Degree Furniture. **Q: A request** *(in Photo Questions)* Please limit the number of photos of any room. It is exhausting to go through a number of close up photos of every part of a room. Save the multiples for your portfolio or if someone asks to see more. A: Thanks for the suggestion. **Q: What is the white door at the bottom of the shower area?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Thank you for the question. This is a custom laundry chute. It is built under the shower bench and drops right down in the laundry room below this bathroom. The original was built in 1950.
