His bid came in lower than others AND he said he could complete the build in 12 months. We were very skeptical because this was our second new build and the first took over 2 years (specs almost identical). > Well Denton completed our build in 13 months (in 2015)! This is really unheard of. Our home is over 4500 sq ft with a basement and swimming pool on a 6500 sq ft lot. After the build was completed, Kevin was very good about coming back to take care of punch list items that come up after you move in and get settled a bit. In case you’re wondering why we rated Denton 4 and not 5 stars, we probably would not give anyone 5 stars as there’s always room to improve in this field. However, we would recommend Denton Developments and hire them again (if they would work with us). Everything was badly outdated and way overdue for a face lift. Kevin opened up the space, knocking out walls and vaulting the ceilings, to give us a contemporary, open look. After years of searching for a fabric source, I found these drapes/fabric, but they were discontinued by Ballard Designs. Can’t decide between cabinet colors and flooring** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hi guys, we are in the process of building our new house and need to make decisions to complete our design upgrades. Builder has got us stuck with picking from 9 not so amazing packages. I say that because with certain kitchen colors they either have horrible flooring options or horrible backsplash choice which is not to our liking. what are your thoughts on this specific kitchen? Would you like a double stacked kitchen? The choice of cabinets for this package is either the Tahoe harbor( looks like a light grey like the island in the pic) color or Tahoe slate ( brownish). the house is very open concept with high ceilings and lots of natural light. I can pick to do 2 toned kitchen between these 2 colors but I’m scared that the greyish cabinet would be too light if it was put all over or just the major part of the kitchen. What are your thought? Also, the flooring options are either vinyl or light wood color which I didn’t like and would love your input in what kind of tile or wood tile flooring would you do with this kitchen of either color choice. The walls that the builder has picked with this package is accessible beige and I’m not sure if I like it since I prefer The accessible grey from sherwin Williams more. Is the dimension between the hood and adjacent upper cabinet 6" or more. A: Hi Cecilia, Thanks for your interest in this kitchen! The ceilings are 9'. The hood is 48" wide, and yes, the dimensions between the hood and upper cabinet are over 6".
