Elyse Parkhurst graduated from Endicott College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Before Co-founding NFDC she worked in several prestigious design firms in the Boston area. As so many people do, we tried to fit too many purposes into the TV room. By redesigning the layout, and delineating spaces through area rugs and art arrangement, each part of the room became defined. They chose whimsical colors for the play areas that have a relationship with the more neutral tones of the TV area. In addition, they designed beautiful built in cabinets and shelves that bring the whole room together and give it that finished look I was wanting. I was impressed with North Fork Design Co's ability to stay focused on vision, stay within budget, seek out alternative materials and budget friendly pieces, and do the labor necessary to bring the whole project together.
