> We have worked with Andrew Borges and his firm on 2 extensive home remodeling projects. The first project involved a major renovation of parts of our home which included a reworking of our front yard, adding a new garage, and conversion of an old attic into a beautiful office/study space. The second project included an expansion of our existing kitchen along with replacing and enhancing our backyard deck which has now made it a nice extension to our kitchen & dining room areas. Andrew brings a wealth of extensive knowledge to his job that goes beyond the requisite duties that an architectural firm brings to a project. He and his staff helped us choose the stellar construction company we used (Prestige Residential Construction) and worked with us and the contractors to optimize the work that was being done at our home. Andrew was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had regarding all the details surrounding the job. We were grateful for his expertise and his solid practical advice.

> We worked with Rohleder Borges Architecture building a residence in Seattle's Magnolia neighborhood. The architects are excellent listeners and they create beautiful and unique designs tailored specifically to clients, their needs, and their site. They use thoughtfully considered materials such as milestone, limestone, marble, and fir in creative and contemporary ways. It's a pleasure and honor to collaborate with them.

> My husband and I have enjoyed working with Andrew and his team at Rohleder Borges Architecture on three large projects over the past ten years. They're a skilled group of architects adept at balancing aesthetics, function, and budget. They engage in genuine dialogue with clients -- taking the time to first understand the homeowners' vision and then calibrating it with complementary ideas; architectural design principles; practical considerations; and structural realities. The process feels collaborative but guided. For us, that's been an ideal fit. We're appreciative to have worked with people who entertain our ideas but advise us when they seem mistaken. Administratively, Andrew and company are organized and trustworthy. Their thorough understanding of residential zoning makes the permitting process feel seamless, and their willingness to work directly with our builder has helped to minimize our role as middlemen. Overall, this is a great firm populated by gracious, creative and knowledgable individuals. It's been a pleasure!

> I hired Rohleder Borges Architecture to renovate a 1920's farmhouse in the Alexander Valley wine country of Northern California. The house was built by a first generation Italian family with fruit farming in mind. It had not be neglected but had not been upgraded in many years. The flow of the house was all wrong for our contemporary lifestyle of entertaining and relaxing.
>
> The assignment was to design and renovate the house in a limited time frame, with little room for revisions or errors. Andrew Borges' understanding of our needs was key to the success of the project. We made a list of the primary requirements.
>
> 1\. relocation of entrance
> 2\. seamless flow from entrance/dining area/kitchen/living room
> 3\. all new kitchen/pantry/3 bathrooms/master suite
> 4\. upgrade heating/plumbing/electrical
> 5\. to maintain the feel of the old farmhouse with contemporary upgrades
> 6\. evaluate contractor bids and make a recommendation
>
> The collaborative process between Andrew, his staff and our concerns was outstanding. The preliminary design stage was completed within two weeks with revisions completed in a matter of days, within a month we had determined who the contractor would be. The contractor and Andrew had worked on several projects before so that the understanding between their two teams was extremely effective.
>
> The end result far exceeded our expectations. I would recommend Rohleder Borges Architecture to anyone who is looking for a through, thoughtful and collaborative approach to any project.

> Andrew designed a house for my husband and I. It fits our needs and the ridge on which it is built. It is simple yet elegant . Andrew was able to enhance our surreal views in Alexander Valley. My husband and I own a high end wood contract furniture factory in Oakland and Andrew was able to incorporate the woods that we love throughout our house. I appreciate his diplomacy with both of us. The engineering, the design and the builder...all chosen by Andrew... absolutely perfect! Andrew Borges designed a house for us and it looks like the original concept. We feel that his fees and response to questions and possible changes were reasonable and quick!
>
> The whole experience was delightful and exciting!

> Andrew Borges was our architect for an extensive remodel and rebuild on our house. Although technically it was a remodel, it might as well have been building de novo. We demolished half the existing structure and built an entirely new section, adding a floor. Andrew was brilliant in combining the new portion with the old (ca. 1951) to creat an organic whole. In one instance, he reused a large, old fir beam left from the original structure, turning it into countertop in the powder room to great effect. Throughout the process, we could rely on him to be readily available, especially to confirm (or refute) what we were hearing from our contractor. His knowledge of the entire process, from permitting to final fixtures, was invaluable, saving us from many costly mistakes. I can't recommend him highly enough.

> We hired Andrew Borges for to design a kitchen remodel, finish a basement, and remodel our back deck. He was incredibly helpful, insightful and responsive to every request/idea we made. He was extremely patient with many revisions of our designs, then helped us interview and choose a builder, and attended weekly meetings throughout the process to be sure the process went as smoothly as possible. We absolutely love the end result and our kitchen was even photographed for a possible magazine spread. I give Andrew Borges my highest possible recommendation. You will not regret hiring him as your architect.

> We worked with Rohleder Borges on an extensive remodel of our 1903 home. This included opening up a kitchen space, creating a basement, bathrooms, moving around rooms, and more. This firm is professional, creative, and energetic. They proved that they were able to solve problems, provide great ideas, and execute well.
