We spent a lot of money for these particular shutters, and we were very disappointed to see that they didn’t last long. We reached out to Bahama shutters and they were quick to replace the originals and also asked for the old ones back so they could investigate what happened so this doesn’t happen to customers in the future. This may have been a fluke of a thing, not sure and time will tell if the new ones hold up. I do appreciate the company reaching out to us to fix the issue at hand and they were very professional while doing it. I want to thank Brian who was very professional from start to finish and you stayed in contact with us from the start to make sure we were happy customers for the long haul. I will revisit my review in about two years for an update on these new Bahamas shutters. The factory priming left a rough surface that required light sanding and the shutters then were painted with Behr Marquee Satin Enamel - 2 coats. It took the contractor 2 workers to install in our brick facing - one to hold while the other one screwed the shutters into the brick. They look fabulous!
