It was an "out of town" build which made it more difficult. There was excellent communication during the building process and we worked as team. We discussed over the phone the "pros and cons" of different bids from subs and Ben helped us make the best decision. Ben had good relationships with his subs. His subs took pride in their work. My wife and I have done 3 "new home" builds and 2 "historic home" renovations and found our build to be the easiest of all of our builds. Our home in NC was a complex build and it was done within budget and on time. Our NC home turned out better than our expectations. Since that time we have continued to use Ben on small projects. This is a vacation home and we were not onsite to monitor progress but they exceeded our expectations and required very little oversight through the process. I have done renovations with other builders on my primary home and found that often if I wasn't on the project every day minor mistakes would be made - it was very refreshing to have a builder of this quality who I can trust to do the job correctly.
