We were very impressed by their interest and their estimated cost to build our non-cookie cutter custom home. > Gerrit was totally up for the challenge and was meticulous in adhering to the plans. > In addition we were welcome to visit the site with very few restrictions and ask any questions we had. His patience was and is amazing. He always answered us politely and never showed any frustration when dealing with two oldies. > With only a few details that need to be finished when the weather cooperates, we are certain that our home is all that we hoped for. Even at "our ages"we have made the correct choices both with our designer and builder. > Thank you Gerrit and Jane for making this process as painless as possible with a great result. We love our new home. > > Bruce and Joan Haig **★★★★★ — danlorri, Jan. 2015** > After researching and talking with many builders in southern Alberta we decided on Bezooyen Contracting. The people were friendly and easy to talk to about any and all of our concerns. My wife went in and sat with the designing department and got to build our "dream" home from the ground up including the styles, colors, and direction the house faced. They gave us multiple choices and ideas on everything involved in picking and pricing of materials during the designing and building stages. All through the build we were invited to come and check and ask questions as to how and what was being done. When we decided we wanted changes as we went along they never hesitated to help us. The date when they were done building was what they had told us from the beginning. After taking posession of the house if something was not quite right or was not working properly they came and fixed it, no questions asked. The whole team at Bezooyen was professional and we are very pleased with the finished house. > Dan & Lorrie Robinson **★★★★★ — fayethom, Jan. 2015** > From start to finish the building of our home was stress free. All our concerns were addressed quickly and very professionally . The Bezooyen team was a pleasure to work with everything from budgets to deadlines went as agreed. I would definitely recommend anyone building a custom home to consider this builder Our home builder has exceeded our expectations and built us a great quality home. ## Selected projects - [Elegant Estate](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/elegant-estate-pj-vj~850899) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 16 - [Urban Sophistication](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/urban-sophistication-pj-vj~851045) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 20 - [Luxury Cottage](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/luxury-cottage-pj-vj~849968) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 40 - [Warm Welcome](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/warm-welcome-pj-vj~850860) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 10 - [Classic Farmhouse](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/classic-farmhouse-pj-vj~729332) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 30 - [Modern Family](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/modern-family-pj-vj~850989) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 15 - [Touch of Grandeur](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/touch-of-grandeur-pj-vj~851210) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 19 - [Country Retreat](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/country-retreat-pj-vj~851116) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 11 - [Comforts of Home](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/comforts-of-home-pj-vj~850951) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 14 - [Stately Affair](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/stately-affair-pj-vj~851358) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 20 - [Taste of Tradition](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/taste-of-tradition-pj-vj~851250) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 23 - [The Finer Things](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/the-finer-things-pj-vj~851400) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 15 - [Modern Country](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/modern-country-pj-vj~1033919) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 25 - [Canyon Point](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/canyon-point-pj-vj~1000532) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 13 - [Custom Home Exteriors](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-home-exteriors-pj-vj~1000450) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 17 - [Soft Neutrals](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/soft-neutrals-pj-vj~919033) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 12 - [Country Chic](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/country-chic-pj-vj~919004) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - [Modern Simplicity](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/modern-simplicity-pj-vj~891055) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 12 [See all 18 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/home-builders/bezooyen-contracting-inc-pfvwus-pf~689030071) ## Ideabooks - [Lighting](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/49458331/list/lighting) — 1 idea - [Grey and White](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/46900613/list/grey-and-white) — 108 ideas - [Wainscotting](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/46893449/list/wainscotting) — 8 ideas - [Traditional Design](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/44954511/list/traditional-design) — 3 ideas - [Organization](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/44218374/list/organization) — 1 idea - [Unusual Bathrooms](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/43886463/list/unusual-bathrooms) — 3 ideas - [Bathroom Design](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/43886979/list/bathroom-design) — 6 ideas - [KItchens](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/43112277/list/kitchens) — 7 ideas - [Kitchen Products](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/43113356/list/kitchen-products) — 1 idea - [Kitchen Innovation](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/43109488/list/kitchen-innovation) — 5 ideas - [Design Genius](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/43110231/list/design-genius) — 1 idea [See all 11 ideabooks](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/users/bezooyencontracting) ## Community Q&A **Q: which colors are the walls and ceiling?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: I believe the walls are Benjamin Moore Infinity Pashmina AF-100; I do not have the paint colour of the ceiling. **Q: Beautiful Home! Can you tell me did you use the exterior air intake? And I'm assuming those were the gravity venting grills on the side of the box high up on the wall? Were you happy with the fireplace? A: Thank you; we are the builder, not the owners, of this house, but I can tell you that we've heard no complaints about the fireplace. I couldn't find installation details for you either; I am sorry I couldn't be of more assistance. --- *Source: Houzz professional profile. Reflects the profile as of 2026-11-06.*
