Joe has a great sense of adapting to his project environment using local resources in a very creative way. I have yet to see one of Joe's projects that seem out of place with the environment. He has also mastered the xeroscape planning scheme to satisfy our "Green" clients. His design sense of hardscapes truly compliments the architecture for a successful overall project. **★★★★★ — cecilseaserpent, March 2016** > Working with Joe Cross was an absolute pleasure. Our outdoor spaces had many requirements and Joe orchestrated all these elements beautifully. He uses the best local trade and craftspeople. Looking back, our only problem was deciding which of Joe's three very creative designs would suit us best. **★★★★★ — Rob Franklin, March 2016** > Joe and his team did an amazing job to help us renovate an old property while working with existing structures and plantings. His ability to create a vision that is aesthetically pleasing, environmentally conscious, budget conforming and Texas Native is beyond compare. **★★★★★ — justintimesales, March 2016** > Joe was recommended to us by a personal friend. To say the least we were blown away by his timely response to our questions and his in depth knowledge of both native and non native plants for our climate was uniquely pieced together for our own private paradise. From his initial hand sketched drawing detail to final completion we are beyond pleased and definitely use Joe again for our next project. > Amy and Justin **★★★★★ — emosty, Oct. 2015** > We highly recommend Land-Flo to our customers because Joe has a wonderful and unique design aesthetic. His landscape designs and choice of plants fit the environmental challenges we find in the Hill Country -- harsh temperatures, drought, and varying soil conditions. Joe pays attention to details and we believe you will be extremely happy with the result of his work. **Comment from Land-Flo:** > Thank you Erin...I really appreciate this and all that you and Brian do. Take care. **★★★★★ — karey\_dye, Oct. 2015** > Joe's careful planning and execution of hardscapes, landscapes and lighting are simply top notch. He masterfully navigates difficult terrain and weather conditions to produce a beautiful, unique and hearty landscape. **★★★★★ — \[gct\] Studio, Oct. 2015** > I have had the pleasure to work with Joe Cross on multiple projects. His attention to environmental considerations as well human factors are his greatest assets. Beyond this he takes great care to craft a landscape design that incorporates client requests with honest design that honors the native landscape of the Texas Hill Country. **Comment from Land-Flo:** > Thank you Garrett. Please keep me posted...always great hearing from you. > Joe **★★★★★ — omesatexas, Oct. 2015** > Joe Cross is a true professional. Everything was performed in a timely manner, he stood by his work, he was on site to check all aspects of the installation and worked well with our team. **★★★★★ — Rhonda Lopez, Oct. 2015** > Joe worked with us to turn our ideas into an incredibly beautiful landscape for our Fredericksburg home. People have knocked on our door to tell us how much they love our yard, and we've seen many people slow down and take pictures when they pass. But most importantly, we love it! We feel great about saving water, and it's great to be able to travel and to know our yard will be in good shape when we return. Joe is kind and smart and a joy to work with on a project. We highly recommend him! **★★★★★ — sherrill\_winter, Oct. 2015** > Joe Cross has a vision. He listens. He transfers your thoughts into a magical design. We told him what we wanted. He laid out the plan. We did not change a thing. It was perfect.i give him the highest rating possible. We are so lucky to have someone of his talent inFredericksburg. We are staring our second design job with Joe. **★★★★★ — gaylemarshall, Oct. 2015** > Joe Cross' capacity to match the pace and priorities of each client is outstanding. He is particularly skilled at providing assistance in defining priorities and evaluating options. His capacity to put himself in the shoes of each client ensures he delivers what they need, when they need. > > Gayle Marshall ## Selected projects - [Riverside Home](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/riverside-home-pj-vj~1466919) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - [Ranch House Xeriscape](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/ranch-house-xeriscape-pj-vj~1466911) - Location: Fredericksburg, TX - Photos: 3 - [Pool and Deck](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/pool-and-deck-pj-vj~1466901) - Location: Fredericksburg, TX - Photos: 6 - [Outdoor Kitchen Space](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/outdoor-kitchen-space-pj-vj~1354199) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - Description: This modern outdoor space is utilitarian and makes optimal use of a smaller in town backyard. It features low-water plants, outdoor kitchen, rocked patio, circular water feature, firepit and rain water collection system. - [Pool and Bocce Court](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/pool-and-bocce-court-pj-vj~1353827) - Location: Fredericksburg, TX - Photos: 4 - Description: When Landflo designed this job, the pool was already in place and the guesthouse had not yet been constructed. Landflo created a graphic indigenous space that pleasantly contrasted with the more traditional Hill Country architecture of the home. Landflo also designed the authentic bocce court, engineered to drain properly after heavy rainfall. - [Native Pool & Landscape](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/native-pool-and-landscape-pj-vj~1354213) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - Description: For this project the objective was to blend the outdoor landscape and hardscape with the natural native environment. Indigenous plants, sandstone and river rock aggregate were combined with raw steel to achieve this result.
